On my small 2 acre lot I had a couple hundred feet of pretty nasty looking stone wall near a swampy area. The previous owner had used property stone walls for stone work in the front and I have been using the remaining walls for for work in the back.
Yesterday as I was digging in the stone wall I pulled up 2 beatiful white quartz stones that were below the surface of the ground at the base of the stone wall! These stones barely fit in my bucket. We immediately added them to our front garden. I am also finding a great assortment of small flat rocks for wedging into the new stone wall. Hmmmm, I wonder what I will find today!

Boy I wish quartz was worth something. I'd be a billionare, me and my neighbors. My son loves finding this stuff, he's got a good eye for it and has found some nice pieces. ....
