I can use some advice on how to repair a hydraulic leak on the left cylinder of my front loader at the seal. I don't have any manuals for the after market loader. What information do I need to provide to order replacement seals? Maybe, it is much easier and not too much money to just remove and take the 'cylinder' to someone else to repair? Thanks in advance.

Depends on your comfort level on working with hydraulic things. You aren't giving quite enough specifics on the problem to help you out. If you aren't fimilliar at all with it then a hydraulic repair shop is for you, If you have had some experience with cylinders they really aren't that difficult, messy yes. Enjoy your day. Thank you for the info. I don't mind the messy part of it, just never worked on hydraulics before. I'll ask around town and see if I can get someone to take a look and maybe help me with the repair.
Thanks again. Have a nice day. ....

I'm willing to bet almost any farm equip. dealer will also reseal that cylinder for you.

As Frank mentioned, it's not hard to do.

Best of luck.

Some cylinders have an end-collar that you can tighten to see if that stops a leak. Takes a special or at least a big wrench or pliers.

Before removing the cylinder, make sure the system is all depressurized. Then cover all hose openings.

You could take it to a hydraulics guy, ask to watch how it's done, and buy a second seal set for when the other side goes. ....
