I made up a hose contraption to suck some RV antifreeze from the jug into the pump. mine is a gasoline engine drive so I just pull it over a few times with the switch off till the pink stuff comes out the wand. Frank. ....

Ditto on Hardwood's comments. I use a short length of garden hose (2-3 ft) and connect it to the powerwasher. I hold the loose end up, insert a funnel and pour in RV anit-freeze. While holding it up for gravity feed, crank it over like Hardwood says and your done. ....

My pressure washer recommends the same thing , and also recommends removing the plug and putting a small amount of oil in the cyl and pulling several times then reinserting the spark plug. ....

I found a small spray can of stuff at Lowes. It has a male hose fitting built into it.
All you do is hook it to the inlet and give it a spray. ....

I believe the pressure washer manufacturers recommend RV type antifreeze as it is not quite as toxic as regular antifreeze.
If you did not know it, only a tablespoon of antifreeze will kill your dog, cat, or other pet.
The problem is antifreeze will be sought out by your dog as they like the sweet taste.
My dog died last year at 12 and half, and I have thoughts that somehow he got a small amount the stuff. The vets told me that they did not think that was the cause, but who knows.
Mark can you give more details on the can you bought, any notes on toxicity? An approach that puts the smallest amount of chemical seems a better approach, if you have to do it.

Dennis.... the stuff I have is called Generac Pressure Washer Pump Saver.
While it may sound expensive at 8 bucks for a small can, I am on my third winter with the same can and it still has product in it.
The listed contents are propylene glycol (whoops, there it is again) mineral oil with propane and butane as a propellant.

try using a small sump in a 5 gallon bucket. If you take off the wand you can let the rv anti freeze recirculate back into the bucket. Then you can reuse the anti-freeze for other projects such as the dreaded pool filter. ....
