Found this a while back. It confirms that Shell uses natural oil as the base stock to build their synthetic oil.

Maybe Peters can enlighten us as to if there are any issues with this.

We talked about this in an earlier thread. If the mineral base is fully hydro treated I am not sure there is much difference. It cost should be less than the synthetic chains.
I would like to test the Delvac synthetic, but have trouble finding it locally. I only live in Alabama. You think they would have Mobil. ....
