I have two problems, I am not sure they are related. The first is the fuel filter does not seem to fill up with fuel. I have replaced the fuel pump, filter, checked the lines, still no luck. It seems to run okay for now, previously I could tell it was running lean. Any ideas?
The second is the accessory PTO that is driven off the front of the engine. I am having touble with the belt not being pulled tight enough by the idler pulley. I have replaced the vacuum solenoid, belts, the small pulley bake bracket (it has a small brake pad that pushes against the lower pulley when the PTO is not engaged. I am out of options and ideas...any help would be appreciated.

The fuel filters on our Deere 345's always have an air pocket and really never look like they is enough gas in them to run on, but they run fine. ....

Check the pivot of the idler pulley and see if that is free and easy to move. ....
