I have a 35hp Terraplane tractor. It has been a good repliable tractor, but now finding out the downside to offbrand chinese tractors. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a starter for this tractor?

Thanks
Shannon

Make sure it's the starter and not some underhood cable. If it is, just take it to a shop that rebuilds starters. ....

There's usually a tag on the starter housing. Are any of the numbers still readable? Something starting with Q- or QD- maybe? When you're sitting on the tractor seat, which side is the starter mounted on?

Sitting on the tractor, the starter is on the right.

The info on the starter is:

Type QD 1332 12V
2KW 200

Tractor info: DF354 TerraPlane
Engine: TY395 35HP

Thank you for taking the time to get back with me ....

Too bad, I had a rebuilt QD100C3. A new QD1332 is pricey, hope you're prepared for sticker shock. Click the link below and you'll see what I mean.

If you want to shop around on your own, Terraplanes have also been sold in America under the name TaskMaster, BullDog, DFAM, DongFeng, and others. But you're not limited there either. That TY395 engine is also used by Jinma, FarmPro, Nortrac, and others.
