We are a Yanmar dealer and specialize in grey market Yanmars. I am with Wayne 30% anti freeze 70 % water max ratio. Anymore will cause overheating. Actually less antifreeze is better if freezing is not an issue. I have seen several Yanmar engines damaged from overfilling with antifreeze. You say your radiator has been flushed, but have you taken it to a radiator shop and had it boiled out and flow tested ? Flushing is good, but will not remove deposits if it is really stopped up. Could be you have a bad head gasket or cracked head that can cause overheating also. We have seen this problem in a few 1700 series tractors.

Sometimes it helps to bleed a system with a full tank of fuel. I have an old 125C IH trackloader that won't completely bleed unless the tank is full. It is also possible you have a air leak somewhere as others have suggested such as a rubber hose or at the filter.<br>

We are a grey market Yanmar dealer and are familiar with the FX24D. The FX24D is a very nice tractor. Most true turf tires are low profile and that is the reason for changing rims to maintain a similar outside diameter. If you replace your rear tires with a higher profile turf tire that is the about the same as what you have and replace the fronts with a 7.00 x 15 five rib you really should not have any ratio problems. Plan on spending $450 to $600 to replace all four tires and tubes depending on what type of tires you select. If you need more info contact us Affordable Equipment<br>864-859-2623. <br>

Seems like this is a problem with JD dealers, they are taught to deliver tractors with manuals, but they just drop them off and run. I got a 790 with no manual. Okay, look at the picture where your 4wd lever is, it will show you engaged (tractor is one piece) or disengaged (tractor in 2 pieces). My guess is that you are back heavy with the backhoe (you need some weight in the front), that makes your front wheel just touch the ground, that's why it kept going straight (had the same problem with my old grey market kubota and with the 5' rotary mower on the 790). Best solution, as previously stated, GO SLOW. The lock is so that you can't operate the implement (in case kids jump on the tractor and have to play with the levers.) Good luck on the manual, not only did I talk with the parts depot here in columbus but with some people in Lenexa, and I MIGHT get it sometime next week. Who knows when the loader may arrive.

Just bought a 790, but looked for a long time. Dealer here has a 850 HST, FWD, former commercial use with same hours, but rough sheet metal, seat, etc for same price. Sounds like a good price, but as I am finding out, a good dealer is everything. Make sure you got a GOOD deere dealer in your area.

Got a nifty gadget which solved the problem for me. I was going to <br>get a expensive hand pump from the local farm supply until I saw this.<br>Hand held battery (D cell) fuel transfer pump. Made and sold for Kerosene <br>heaters. Cost me under $15 at Home Depot. Warnings all over the package <br>against using for gasoline but worked great for K1 and D2. They also had a <br>hand pump one for a couple bucks less.<br>It has a 18

on/off button. Delivery hose comes out the side near the top witha couple feet of
delivery hose. Takes a few minutes to empty a 5 gal can but does it without spilling
a drop.

Two options to look into. I have a diesel generator (Perkins engine) and a <br>salesman recently tried to sell me a propane kit specifically for this engine.<br>The kit allowed propane to be mixed in with the air intake and reducing the volume <br>of diesel fuel introduced. Still needed to start on diesel but may help you out<br>Claimed to be able to run on over 90% propane when warmed up. <br>Was being sold for Y2k as propane has better long term storage. old moonshiner who ran his tractor off a combination of K1 (much cleaner than diesel #2)
and his high test distillate. He was careful to lubricate the top end with Mystery
Marvil Oil (or something like that, came in a Red Can)

I'm going through the same process as you. Slightly different requirement but <br>about the same size works. I had it narrowed to L4310 Kubota and JD 4600.<br>I tried the Hydro and I think the edge goes to Kubota on that. I found I didn't<br>(Flaming can start now) like the hydro as much as the JD Powereverser or even<br>Kubota's synchro tranny.<br>Without the hydro I think the edge went to John Deere. Resale is Better, Parts <br>long term avilability is better, financing was better, and for my location the dealer<br>is better.<br>Look at a similar thread about Compact Utility Tractors above. General consenses<br>gave JD the edge.<br>David

Not being able to see what you are mowing I am guessing a little bit here. Remember your tractor is new and the mower is new. They are not even broken in yet. New equipment will always take extra HP when new until everything gets polished and broken in. I would imagine your available HP at the PTO is proably down a little now due to higher internal friction losses etc. Have you dealer put the tractor on the dyno to make sure it is developing full power once it is broken in.<br>

Repsectfully, disagree with Jon on your equipment needs. You need a skid steer for this type of heavy work. You will destroy a compact tractor with a loader attempting to dig out stumps and do major dirt work. A compact with a loader is designed for light work removing stumps is not! We are a dealer and have seem compacts damaged from this sort of use. A skid steer is designed to do this type of work. Look at the metal in a skid steer it is much heavier that a compact tractor loader. Most all skid steers are all wheel drive all the time. They are heavier than a compact and can sink in, but there are options for applications such as this if it is a problem. Skid steers can be equipped with tracks for operation in muddy conditions. As a dealer we sell both compacts and skid steers I would not reccommend a compact for this application. Why not rent a skid steer and see if it will do the job before buying one. <br>

I got my quote a couple of weeks ago for a unit he had on the lot.<br>Loader wasn't yet installed. Can't answer for sure about the MFWD <br>without powrReverser but that doesnt' sound right to me.
