Pete - I own a Kubota B1700, and it is a great machine for what it is, but I feel it would be seriously undersized for your needs. I use a loader and back blade for snow, and it works well but my driveway is 150 feet long, 300 feet if I go all the way back to the barn. The biggest blade I can pull is a 5 footer, so even my 300 feet takes a while. 1,200 feet? you would be there all day. The 2100 and 2400 would I think have similar limitations. I would think about the 2710, the new 2910, or even the L 3010 or 2500. Some will of course depend on how much money you want to spend.<br>good luck<br>PaulB

JD provides a 6 foot blade attachment for the 420, 430, and 460 Loaders that connects by QuickTach in place of the bucket. It is manually angled and has trip springs. I saw it in the Parts Catalog for the 400 Series Loaders. It should be great for snow--you can quickly switch between blade and bucket if you need to work in tight corners.

Did the dealer set this up ?!? Thats definately a dealer problem ! They are supposed to check all of that before they get delivered. <br>P.S. they do get delivered to the dealership with the wheels on from J.D. , but if the dealer had to swap em or widen em for some reason... that still should have been caght before you got it! Hope no one got hurt!<br>joe

Chris, I believe that is the same engine used on the IH and Case-IH 235 tractors I didn't price the gear drives or check to see if there is a differance. We do not stock the unit but our price to you would be 227.25 plus freight. Hope that might be of some help. You can call at 1-800-859-4483. Art

I am looking for some information on a JD 755. I have a line on a JD 755, 6 yr old, 450+ hrs., with Back hoe and Loader, for around 14K. I also have ordered a 4100 with a loader and mid deck. I would like to compare the two but, I can't find any specs on the 755.

I just sent a JD blade back for my new 4400. I wanted to have the option of using either a snowblower or blade. In order to mount the blade I would have had to remove the snowblower mounts including the mid drive shaft extension to the front of the tractor + remove the frame mount for the loader. The blade looked like it would have been really rugged, nearly dozer quality, if I had decided to keep it. I am now considering a loader blade but am looking for some idea has to how well they perform.

To all ownwers of 1220-1720 hydro tractors... I have installed the WIX crossover hydro filter on 2 tractors now. Both times these filters were wrong.<br>the filter # is correct according to wix, and the filter fits on, but the size & number of holes in the filter is smaller & restricts oil flow causing cavitation & loss of power & possible hydro damage Jim

I would bet that Gempler's will have your tire size. I went to their web catalog and ordered a catalog. They sent it very promptly. Never ordered from it but they seem to be good folks. Check them out.

Thanks Rick B for your response. I've looked closely at both parts already - <br>the only mark on the pulley that could be a punch mark looks more like a flaw in the casting to me, and theres nothing on the end of the crankshaft. Unfortunately when the pulley came off it bounced around for a while possibly erasing a mark on the end of the crankshaft, altho' the crankshaft is made of pretty hard steel so I think thats unlikely. Any other ideas? Thanks Martin

Walt,<br>I don't know if you can choose another engine brand or upgrade. I do know that I have been using an Onan in my JD318 for many hours without a problem. It always starts, has plenty of power, and requires minimal maintance. I think the quality is worth the price.

The TC29 uses the same engine oil, hydraulic & fuel filters as the NH1720, I am pretty sure. You should be able to use the hydro filter from a 1520. They should have a listing for these, as they have been around for 10 years. I would use New Holland, Fleetguard, NAPA's Gold series, and Wix in that order of preference to the exclusion of all others. MY $.02.
