Tractor has been running great, few minutes later and now it will not start. No lights, no flashers, no dash lights ignition key has 12.53 volts but get nothing when I try to start it. Fuses are good battery is 12.53 volts. Battery connections are clean. Swap relays and still nothing. PTO is not engaged and was not engaged when the engine was shut down.Transmission in neutral. Anyone have any ideas that I have missed?

You have battery voltage AT the switch. Does that mean TO the switch and nothing OUT of the switch? The key switches on TC series have been known to fail. ....

Yes have power to the switch. Thinking the switch is bad. With a meter set up on the key switch I have power but when switched to on or run position no power. Thanks for your reply. Was hoping to get conformation that switch was bad before ordering as the switch is $76. Got one coming, hope that fixes the problem. ....

Okay, so new key switch provides no help. You mentioned earlier about clean battery cables. BOTH ends of battery cables? It's always possible that a bad connection at either end of either cable can give similar symptoms. Other than that, have you tried to get the starter to engage with a jumper wire just to prove to yourself the battery, cables, ground connections, etc are truly up to snuff? You may have to remove a "Safety Sam" plastic cover from the solenoid to do this. Just flash the start terminal to battery voltage to see if the starter makes any attempt to operate. That's all that's necessary to prove the point. If that checks out to be good then you're back to the wiring and circuits. ....

Flashed the starter and it works. Even if the starter was bad never have seen that there would be no dash lights or headlights. I have power to the key switch but same problem as before power in no power out. Jumped all the safety switches. Must be in the wiring harness up to the key switch. Wil check that tomorrow.

I wasn't suggesting the starter to be the problem, only that hearing it engage and operate would eliminate a cable/connection issue and take you back to wiring and other circuits. ....

I would start with by-passing (CAREFULLY) each safety switch one at a time.

While that does not explain the lack of lights, it is important to try to break down the issue into manageable chunks.

Best of luck. ....

Thatís a good start actually. Your next step then is to prove every cable to connector connection.

Best of luck. ....

First I would like to thank Imfedup and Murf for their advise. Ok got the tractor running. The battery terminals where clean and had a good ground. The previous owner had installed a battery disconnect switch. I was getting power to the key switch until I tried to start the tractor. I was not getting any clicks or any sounds when trying to start tractor. The battery was reading 12.53 volts with my meter and was getting that at the starter and at the key switch. Just to prove to myself the battery was good I put it on charge. When I tried to start the tractor I heard a click. Then I decided to remove the battery disconnect switch and hook up the cables directly to the battery. Had dash lights and the tractor started right up. Funny how I had started the tractor several times that day with no problems then all the sudden nothing. My suspicion from the beginning was bad battery but battery checked out good. My battery charger will tell you if the battery is bad. In the end it was a defective battery disconnect switch. ....
