My recently purchased 930A finish mower's "main" spindle (the one that has a double sheath (pully wheels) shaft worn out. I located a replacement assembly for it from WOODS mfr but cannot find the pullies (a pair that is bolted together onto a center key'd ). This finish mower has a Bolens/FMC decal and came with that company's parts manual. Unfortunately nolonger in business. Did find this same mower as a Ford and New Holland product...but nolonger have the pully needed. Local dealer found it as a WOODS brand and they have the spindle but nolonger sell the pully part. I cannot use this mower without it. Help!!

Unless the pulleys themselves are damaged and need to be replaced, re-use them.

If you can't press them off without damaging them, any local machine shop or Ag. Dealer with a service department should be able to get you set up.

Best of luck. ....

Hey buddy, thanks for the quick response, on a gov't holiday!Good news is that the Cdn $ is now worth above the US dollar....come on down get a long deserved break on your purchases!

The pulleys' center core is damaged. Doubt very much they can be used. The critical part is that "hub sheath" that is married between these two drive pullies....am told the spindle assembly is available, but that darn hub sheath is nolonger carried by Woods. Where does one find a replacement? ....

Is it possible the center could be rebored by a machine shop? If not does two belts run on the pulley or a double belt? If two seperate belts realize it would be wider than the double pulley but could you mount two pulleys there? Might have to join them due to shaft length. Is there clearance for that and also is the top belt run long enough it would run on slightly higher pulley or could you raise the other pulleys to match it? ....
