I replaced the old KF-82 motor with a new FE250D-JD-AMT600-A motor a few modifications now I am having problems keeping it running. the fuel filter doesnt fill all the way up not sure if it will when running almost acts like its not getting enough fuel. with a new engine i think this is the only thing left is the fuel pump.

Some filters seem just to keep air in them but still supply plenty of fuel. Why did you replace the engine, was not for same reason was it? If so check your fuel tank and lines for blockage. Be sure you have a good air flow also?

My bet is you need a fuel pump or pump diaphragm kit. Has nothing to do with air in the fuel filter. I fought this problem for months on a cx when it started acting up with barely a year on it. Replaced the pump and it runs great.

Some one elsed mentioned on this board about the short life of the pump diaphragm on these motors. It's a cheap aftermarket part- pump or kit
