Jakemax,

Tractorhouse.com has several listings for the B2400 with loader and mid-mount mower. One tractor has 1200 hours on it and the asking price is $11,900. Another has 800 hours and the asking price is $9000

You've found a good price for this tractor, but I believe it is too small for your acreage.

You should consider a tractor in the 30-40 horsepower range for handling 20 acres. The difference is that you can handle implements up to 6 feet wide with the 40 horse tractor, versus implements only 4-5 feet wide with the B2400.

I'd consider looking for nothing smaller than the Kubota B7800. I'd be looking for something even larger than that.

Victoria Oliver Co., in Texas, has an L3400 in stock with a new loader, but no mid-mount mower. Here's the info.

1 hours, 34 hp, 4WD, NEW L3400HST KUBOTA TRACTOR W/ ANSUNG LOADER price $15,400

With a new Kubota you will will get several financing incentives, which you likely will not get with the used tractor. The interest you save will likely make up most, if not all of the difference in price.

Respectfully,

Joel

jakemax,
More details on your plans would be good. When you mention you need to "work 20 acres" what do you mean work and what will be on the land? If you mean to mow only that is one thing if when you mean "crop fields" you are in wrong type of tractor totally.

As to the price, I agree with Candoarms on that and his other comments on the size. kt ....

Jakemax,

KThompson makes a very important point, which I neglected to address.

I made the assumption that you had already taken into account all of the issues that KThompson mentioned.

More information on your planned usage for this tractor would be very helpful, if not absolutely necessary, before purchasing ANY tractor.

Many thanks to KThompson for bringing up such important points.

Joel ....
