I am looking for a Compact tractor. The 2320 looks like the perfect replacement for the 4115. The hydraulic pump has low GPM rating. Both the 4115 and the 2520 have pumps over 5 GPM, but the 2320 has a pump rated at 3.4 GPM. I am concerned that it may be underpowered to run a loader and backhow effeciently. The 2305 has a pump at 2.9 and the time to raise the bucket is an aweful 5.9 secs. So I am worried about the 2320.

Any thoughts? Kirby

Kirby,
Wy bother with the 2320? Just get the 2520..... is it price that is the issue? I don't know what you can get a 2320 for, but you should be able to get a 2520 + 200CX + 62D MM for about 18800 or so.........

Not pretending to know much here but, are the cylinds the same size on the fel and bh for the two tractos? If so the lower gpm will have to operate slower the cylinders slower and thus the implement slower. ....

I have been looking for a tractor for many years. The price has been keeping me from buying one. I do not know if I would find enough use to justify the $25k price.

I looked at the 2520 but I thought the physical size of the machine was too much for my 5 acres. The smaller machines didn't quite have the lifting capacity for the loader. I thought the 2320 was perfect size. I would not buy a 2320 until I could see them...bought they weren't shipping them yet without PO's.

My dealer recently took a trade on a 4115. I bought it. It has the power of the 2520 with the size of the 2320. I think it should be perfect.

Now Deere has a problem though. The dealer ordered the 200cx loader for the 4115. Over 3 weeks have passed now and they got the FEL and the BH, but can't get the FEL brackets. They are working the issues with the factory.

I got tired of waiting so I picked up the 4115 yesterday. I noticed they just rx'd there 1st 2320 and it was in the lot. It looked very nice.

Kirby,

I don't think at all that you need to spend that. See my earlier reply, and, I have money currently down on a 2520+200CX+62D for slightly less that 18700.00.

>I looked at the 2520 but I thought the physical size of the machine was too much ......I thought the 2320 was perfect size.

I am a bit confused. I saw a 2520 and a 2320 side by side and they looked exactly the same size except the 2320 was lower due to turfs as the 2520 has R4's. These 2 models are JD's only 'Twentey Series' compacts in the 2000 line up. Things like the 2305 are not in the Twenty Series from my understanding and the brochures.

>.....on a 4115. I bought it. It has the power of the 2520 with the size of the 2320.

Congrats on your purchase. If it has turfs, then I think it is as equal in the same physical size to a 2520 or 2320 either, with turfs.

>I got tired of waiting........

Well, I am waiting also. Using my Kubota BX for now (which is for sale.......)

Scott, thanks for your reply.

With FEL, MMM and BH, I will need to spend 25k. The BH is about 8k alone.

The 2520 and 2320 are very similar. Although the 2520 is a little larger than the 2320. 200lbs, 31" tires vs 36", 63 vs 65" wheelbase and about $2500 more. Those items put us over the edge. I did not want to spend over $25k and the 2520 for me, looked too big. We looked at the Kubota b2630 and it was about the same size as the 2520.

I bought a used 4115 with 27 hours and factory warranty. It came with 60"mmm, #18 dump cart, and 54" snowblade with hydr. I also purchaed new FEL and BH. The total price was $23.8K.

Deere is having problems getting the mounts for the 200cx loader for my tractor. It has been 3 1/2 weeks now.

I can't wait to dig up some tree stumps....etc.

regards, Kirby

Thanks Kirby for the detail on the BH and the price, also clearifying the specifics on the 2520 vrs 2320. Sounds like you (almost) have a nice setup (like me, almost, someday).
My JD dealer did tell me that JD essentially introduced the 2520 in response to a Kubota model - mybe the B2630.....
Anyway, I used to own an old BH on a Ford tractor and had much fun with it......have fun
