I am replacing a burst hydro line on the FEL of my B2710. What is the usual way to purge the air from the line?

<< My mobile home 'cross the highway story was quite awhile back. I didn't realize Mark was reading the page back then. My neighbour likely would be happy that his misfortune may have prevented somebody else from sharing the experience. the story did keep me from trying to move our 40' construction trailer with my 1710. Hope I got this year�s story shorter than the original.

I once worked in a MH plant.
When they had to move them around out in the yard they did not use a tractor. They used a small fork truck because it's safer than using a tractor.
I once had a guy move a home about a 100 feet or so for me.
He had one of the larger full size JD farm tractors.
As he started to move ahead the front wheels lifted about 3 or 4 feet off the ground.Had he started out much quicker or not let off on the tractor soon enough the tractor would have went on over backwards right into the front of the home.
I don't recommend moving these homes with a tractor.That's what the tote trucks are for.

I went trhu my dealer also. It is $10 a month and the tractor is protected against evrything you can imagine even if I damage it in ANY way while on it. $200 deductable and 100 on comp. It is covered for fire , theft, acts of nature, stupid owner acts!!! I had financed my tractor for obvious reasons, (3 kids 2 houses and 160 acres of woods.) Everything is paid for BUT the tractor LOL. The catch to this insurance was I had to roll it into my loan and it is only good for 60 months, (the life of my loan) Payments never go up, but if I pay it off next week, I lose ALL the payments that I made when rolling it into the loan meaning I paid for insurance I no longer have. For me though its ok because I kinda like having a tractor payment!!! LOL. Sure beats a payment on something boring like a house or a wifes car!!!

I cant stand it, do me a favor and go out to that tree in your pic #6 and get that pile of wood off the side of that tree! No reason for it to be on it! Sorry just a pet peeve of mine, I am not a tree hugger just a tree manager.

As DRankin implied, the dealer could take a key right out of the ignition of a 4110 or 4115 and send it to you. They are not keyed with unique tumblers like a car. At least this is what my dealer told me.

If I were to get a 3/4 ton with a dump bed would I be able to fill it with dirt? Or would that be too much weight?

I had a new 1971 Ford F 250 camper special 3/4 ton pick up that I hauled 6000 pounds on a couple of times which was a little to much but if i didn't go over 4000 to 4500 Pounds it was no problem.

1*Yes, I have priced a manual from the dealer, and after recovering from the sticker shock was told they could have it for me in about a week or two.
2*if anyone knows a good place to get an IT manual or kubota manual let me know.

I have not driven a GC2310 but I have owned its Kubota equivalent. It will do all the jobs you outlined.

Just make sure the implements fit your hitch before you plunk down the money for them. Be especially cautious of rear grader blades.

The "limited" part of the hitch refers to its maximum lift height, not the power or the arm spread.

In my reading on the subject of oils, the common wisdom is that turbo's are really hard on standard motor oils.

It seems synthetics withstand the ultra-high bearing temps better without cooking off. And it also seems like a good idea to let the turbo's spin down to idle before shutting off the engine.

Art: Have you tried synthetic oils in this application?

Or how about an auxiliary external oil pump to circulate the oil before and after running the engine?

Mine does it in forward and reverse. Talked to a serviceman at Kubota. He said it is caused by the neutraling valves in the trans. He said it can be adjusted but you have to remove the valves and weaken the springs by cuting a coil at a time off the spring until it doesn't do it. The valves are located on top of the trans. and are easy to remove. He told me to take it to the dealer and they might do it for free even though it isn't a Kubota sanctioned fix. There are two valves, one forward and one reverse.

I picked up 2 more quarts of Oil and Super UDT at the Dealer today.

They told me the 2.6 Qt. for engine oil.listed in the manual was quite a bit off.

They also said the 2.7 Gal for the UDT could be off some and was for the transmission housing only and did not inclued the hoses for the FEL and BH.

1*When you cut pipe in half like that it also reduces the volume of water the ditch will carry in half too. This is why I was going for either 30 or 55 gal plastic barrels instead because of their larger diameter over say 14'' drain pipe.
2*The erosion was caused because the ditch didn't go clear to the bottom of the hill and would have happened even if the ditch hadn't been lined.
3*My ditches go clear to the state road ditch so erosion is not a problem for me and will not happen wither the ditches are lined or not.

PS:
You need to extend your ditch from where it ends now to the bottom of the hill. If this point is the ditch that your drive way culvert is in then so much the better.
It's optional if you want to line the new section of ditch or not.
To line it you can do it like the old section is or fill it with gravel like murf suggested in this thread
If you use gravel it will reduce the volume of water the ditch will carry because the gravel takes up space water would normally occupy. This can be overcome by increasing the size of the ditch.

I mounted 3 tractor lights to the top of my ROPS using rubber electrical tape, large hose clamps and a 1/2" x 2" x 2" steel block. No damage was done to the rops and the lights can be turned 180* back and forward. Ran wiring to under the hood and hooked in a relay to the main lights.

If you're looking for a snowblower in Michigan, I'd suggest looking in the Michigan Auto & RV shopper. It is a free newpaper available at many gas stations. Section A is cars & light trucks, Section B is RV's, bikes, sleds, trailers & big trucks and tractors'n stuff.

Not far from your local area is Jensen equipment just south of Millington on M-15. I buy and sell stuff to those guys and they seem reasonable and good to deal with. Kim Weiss is who I talk to. Nolan's is another dealer in Lapeer. I can't remember the name of third dealer also in your area that has lots of used implements. My dad bought a backhoe from them. Can't remember if it is on Dort highway/M-54. They have a huge lot with stuff spread out all over. Maybe I'm confusing them with Nolan's. I try to stay away from dealerships since I end up buying to much stuff.
