I think that of course much of this has to do with Tractor size and technique as has been pointed out already.

Another thing that changes things is the tree type. For example cottonwood trees are very soft and have shallow roots. A pin oak is hard as a rock and has a very deep tap root. An inch in an oak tree is much stronger then several inches in another tree variety.

Hi Art. Yes I always run with my heel on the floor when going forward and toe on the floor when going backwards. I did find a guy, C.W. Thomas on the Kubota Tractors Discussion Board that has the same problem with the same tractor. The boards web site is www.ssbtractor.com. You might want to check it out if you haven't been there yet.
Thanks for the thought. I'm going to the dealer today and hope to drive another tractor. I'll let you know what I find out. Not all of the tractors I've driven does this.

Francis Caused a real down pour here. I measured 5.5 inches in a few hours here at home.
We had the worst flood we've had for many many years and probably the most damaging one monetarily ever. Nearly all business in the business district were
flooded out.
In the down town section many many building have been gutted for starting repairs.

No: I just had years of work piled up for it when I got it.

Drciv, I will email you my policy number and the phone number of my agent. My cost is $198 annually with a $500 deductible on an $11,000 tractor. If your insurance agent isn't interested in supplying you with a similar policy you can call mine.

My homeowners will cover the tractor on my property but wouldn't cover during transport or on another's property. Dave

This is interesting. You might build a bridge to the center. Using a hyd excavator long reach use virgin soil from behind build bridge to center then work your way back out and around. A dozer with wide pads would work removing the spoils.

Thanks Art for input! lost the L35 by an hour, good ones go fast! Found a B20, don't know if its the right size for my needs...seller says its classified as Industrial? Does that mean its HD? Also needs Backhoe...who might carry that?

I wouldn't hesitate to dig out the larger trees if you don't want them. You could get a Catagory 0-1 york rake to assist in gathering the vines and the debis from the brushhogging and burn them or just raise the deck up and start cutting and after a while it will all rot out and be gone and your lawn will return.

Nice outfit you've built! A lot of the marina's we do buisness with have just mounted hitch balls to the cutting edge which isn't anywere's near as nice as you built and yours is easier to remove for when you need the bucket. I can't seem to get my wife outdoors to do any more then gaurd the pool on hot days! Congratulations!

If you're talking about those Morgans on eBay, they're TaiShan (under 45hp) and KAMA (45hp+). After owning a pair of delinquent Jinmas, I find my 45hp KAMA to be "a real tractor".

But "glow plugs" and "spin on filters" mark them as older models. The price also suggests that assembly and warranty are probably extra cost items.

The second method is a last shot only, you lower the rear tire pressure to the lowest possible point then tie a stout rope around the center line of each tire and tie the other end off to some form of anchor. When you put the tractor in gear the rope winds around the tire and acts like a massive winch.

I have a 1966 BOLENS garden tractor with rear tire chains that I never remove.
I have 2 8' or 10' chains with hooks on each end.
When I get stuck I drive 2 2x2 4 foot stakes about a foot or 2 into the ground behind the rear tractor tires and at an angle away from the tractor.
I hook one end of the chains to the stakes at ground level.
The other end of the chains are hooked to the center of one of the cross chains closest to the ground of the tire chains on each rear wheel.
Then I simply get on the tractor, put it reverse and back right out on the chains as they wrap around the center of the back tires.
Only had to use this method one time but it worked slick as a whistle.

The nice part about this system is you don't have to jack the tractor up to get the chains around the tires and you don't have to let air out of the tires.
Also the tires won't spin inside the pull chains because the ends of them are hooked to the cross link of the tire chains.

It's Quick Simple & Easy.

Being delivered on a Saturday I bet he was a mechanic who works on them every day.

But I yes I love the products we sell. I have nothing against green or orange I just do not know too much about them. Even though we also sell Kubota I do not get the opportunity to work with them much.

But my e-mail box is always open if any one has a question on blue tractors and I will try to answer any on orange ones.

Oh, the 7800 only holds 3.75 gallons of hydraulic fluid. Check your specs for the right capacity for your tractor. It also takes five quarts of engine oil. All the capacities are on the yellow sheet in your manual.

IMHO as someone who has several 'seasonal residences', cottage, farm house, hunt camp, and has too much experience at fixing frozen plumbing to admit to....

I would dig a 3' square pit about 4' deep, not too far from the back door, build a 4' square 'wee hoose' with a cresent moon cut into door on top of the pit and winterize the place each fall.

Unless you plan on spending a lot of time up there it's the safest and least expensive way to go.

Buy a couple of 5 gallon water containers and pack them along with your food when you go up there. Just don't foget to empty od pour anti-freeze into the trap in any sinks you pour the water into.

Well I got some seat time this past weekend, and had to refill. I filled up with the 6 point boost heating oil, and the smoke is less and I have more pulling power.. I'll be adding some anti-gel, and more boost soon just to see if it will improve some more...

This morning it was about 30 degrees out and she fired right up and ran as normal, being cold at first the smoke was slightly blue-gray... I did not use any preheater..

I would stick with the 4 footer. Filled with any type of soil, that will be a big load for your 4110.

I live in a sandy place too.... hope you didn't get ag tires!
