Finished project and here it is in the form of a slide show!
Total cost Lumber, chain , paint , hitch Ball, misc. $ 40.00

All steel was free from Kubota Dealer I had to cut steel tractor shipping crates with a torch!

All systems interlock and can be used independently!

The total system is mounted using only two Grade 5 bolts in the side panels of the Loader bucket, may change later to two quick disconnect pins!!

I needed a Hitch ball on the front to move boat trailers for mowing, launching etc. Also a safe stable platform on the loader to elevate G/F to clean gutters , trim trees, etc.....(note last slide) Backhoe serves as a ballast box when lifting G/F..... And she approves of this message!!!!!

If any of you would like a complete drawing I would be happy to do one for you!

Dean

Archdean, very nice! I was thinking of something like this, it would also help me to stain my house. However, I have not yet put any hooks on my bucket. I do, however, have a wife and daughter who would gladly go in the bucket. Maybe I would leave them there for a while! PS. my wife approves of this message :) ....

Nice outfit you've built! A lot of the marina's we do buisness with have just mounted hitch balls to the cutting edge which isn't anywere's near as nice as you built and yours is easier to remove for when you need the bucket. I can't seem to get my wife outdoors to do any more then gaurd the pool on hot days! Congratulations! ....

Nicely done, just don't forget that your front axle PIVOTS, if the load on the front end (no offence to your G/F) the machine could lean over to one side causing a lot of instability. Before hoisting anyone you should put the stabilizers down to help steady the machine.

Best of luck. ....

BTW, when I designed my ball mount (see my pic. # 18) I was feeling a lot lazier than you were.

I made mine up so that I can see the ball from my seat so I don't even have to get on or off to pick up or drop a trailer. When not in use the ball mount is just turned around so that it projects into the empty space behind the FEL plate.

Best of luck. ....

Dean, thanks, I actually have the bucket on very seldom now, I leave my home-brewed 'utility' frame on most of the time since I'm forever picking up, carrying or pulling something and just find it more handy than a bucket.

I also made a little jig that plugs into the 2" sq. ball mount socket and allows me to use 3pth implements on the front end as well. It's really top drawer being able to use the sweeper or woodsplitter on the FEL.

Best of luck. ....

Archdean, I probably don't want to know.

My wife won't do gutters or roofs. She does toilets so I think it's a fair trade.

You know you've been in a relationship a long time when your up on the roof making repairs. You get back and she says she heard banging and thuds and wondered if I fell off but she didn't go check because she figured I'd make an even bigger thud if I had actually hit the ground. Thanks for the vote of confidence!! ....

Dean looks really good how about some pictures of the ball hitch in the bucket and how the platform hooks to the bucket.
