I'm not familar with the bx2200 but it sounds like loose wire connections. Are there terminal screws that can be tightened up or Molex connectors that may need some cleaning? What works good on molex connectors is some contact cleaner in an airesol can from Radio Shack. Otherwise you have freyed wires that may be shorting out to the frame or opening the circuit.

My first guess would be that you have a bad ground connection on your tractor either at the battery terminal or on the other end mounting to the frame. Try that and see if it works.

I thought it was against the law to put a child with booster seat in the front seat, particularly in the middle between air bags.

The seats are very hard for the first 50,000 miles but soften up so they are still good between 130,000 and 180,000 miles. Not like sitting in grandma's sofa.

The 1/2 ton trucks are for city slickers that drive them to the grocery store and roll them on the freeway, (ie the lower chassis height.)

The armrests are big for side impact protection as well as the dropped window ledge. The drop lets you see next to you like for curbs and other stuff. If you can't see behind you get the "beeper" upgrade.

With a regular cab they had to but some space behind the seat so you don't crash your head against the rear window with a rear impact crash. Most people use that for ocassional storage in tool boxes or gun cases.

The door pillar again is for safety while it has a second purpose so you can hide behind it when driving through the ghetto(meant primarily for brothers and drug dealers)

If the truck is in a forward gear and moving you can depress the seatbelt red release button and it will cancel the alarm.

The sides are deeper to protect the innocent from the stupid people so cargo don't fall out. (beds, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc. that people don't have smarts enough to tie down securely when they are weaving through traffic while talking on their cell phone, eating a sandwich and plucking nosehair).

Ice and stone buildup on fancy spoked rims can be eliminated by purchasing the low-end product with standard steel rims, etc. (Don't get the XLT package). Mudflaps help as well.

Test drive your next vehicle first for an extended period. Sounds like you need a plain "old" 3/4 ton worktruck with rubber floor mats with extended cab for the little guy and an 8' box which should be less money than the fancy 1/2 ton rig you're currently driving.

I have a rear-mount 48" Woods finish mower that scalps my lawn due to the fact that I have a lot of short and steep hills. I've only owned the tractor for 2 weeks and am ready to try to trade the rear-mount for a belly mower. <br>

Can anyone help me locate the correct mower? All dealers tell me there isn't a Woods option for my gear-drive Kubota. Any ideas on what models/makes to look for for a belly type mower? <br>

I am looking to buy a set of R4 industrial tires AND rims for a Kubota L4200 GST (4 wheel drive). The front tire is a 10 x 16.5 The rim is a 6 hole/lug. The rear tire is a 17.5 x 24 The rim is a 6 hole/lug. Call me at 701-663-2097. I have for sale the Galaxy turf tires and rims for this tractor.

Hmmmm....yep. $115 for the paper copy (part TM1630) from JDparts. $60 for the CD but they don't show inventory on either!?!?! Well we'll just see how much this service call is going to cost!

I love my BX1500. It's as strong as an ox and runs very smooth at anything above an idle. It mows very nicely, and quickly too. The hydro is great for manuverablity. I don't have an FEL, but the 3-point is very strong. It can easily pick up the front end. (I know, I did it with an overloaded rear dirt scoop. oops!) The 4WD is simply indispensable. Absolutely no complaints as long as you use it within its designed capabilities. Some complain about size and power, but I would argue that they are expecting more than it was designed for. It's perfect for doing chores on a few acres of land.

Archdean looks like a good job. I made a similar set of pads from a left over piece of stall mat that I had. looks very similar but the stall mat is much easier to cut.

We have used both home-made & manufactured ones for years, Frank is right on the money as far as the home-made jobs go.

There is a dutchman up here that makes them, his are different in that the rope used as a wick is pressed so tightly through the pipe that you don't get seepage around it.

There was somebody else who's design was a rotating pipe covered with loose fabric, sort of like a big paint roller, they worked better, but were fussy and expensive.

If you are in an area where the frost doesn't go too deep. or there isn't any at all, then weeping tiles are a great alternative to culverts.

Basically you just fill flexible plastic weeping tile with small crushed stone and lay it as you would a culvert, just more of them since each is smaller in diameter. Then cover them and forget them. Of course since this is 'gravity' drainage everything needs the proper, consistent slope.

If the amount of water you need to deal with is substantial, or comes all at once, then an open crossing (bridge) is the answer. There are many choices, often the deck of a big old flatbed trailer makes an excellent bridge. Open mesh grates on a steel subframe work well also, so do surplus railway ties or used highway guard-rail posts, but they are a lot of fussing, and don't last as long usually.

Mostly to turn the ex-Christmas tree farm into mulch. The trees are way too close together. We'll probably end up falling 2/3 of them and limbing the rest 10-12 feet up.

I think that many of the decks are very simuliar but that is about as far as it goes. The attaching part to the tractors is where they come in with the bigger changes. We have never found that much the same when we were looking at trying to convert one from the other. The BX is a suspended deck and the B-series are a ground engaging deck.

just for the sake of it the retail on a L-3130 with industrial tires is 17536 and the retail on a 3830DT with ag tires is 17954. Take a quick attach bucket on the 723 loader or just the HD bucket and the prices are nearly the same.

Deere has been modifying there hydro's though electronics to help them be smoother and less jerky under different conditions. Most all 110's need the belly pan to be ordered with them to protect the hydraulic system. The Kubota L-35 is a glideshift model a little smaller and the L-48 is just a little larger and is also a hydro drive.

All sub-compacts use a catigory O-1 hitch and it is important to use a small frame unit to get easy use. To use to large of a frame and it will hinder the work capable as well as where you can use it. Sharp teeth on the auger will keep you digging. We find that most complaints come from dull points on the auger. They do build different types depending on your conditions. For us here, I like to use the stone blacktop teeth which does cost more but if it won't get through chances are neither will much else. I do like the loader boom as it does give you down pressure but it is hydraulic drive which means you can reverse it if stuck but the costs go up!

"The only glitch (and I'm not sure it's a glitch) is my front axle housing started overflowing through the "check" hole with only four quarts put pack in, instead of the 7 the book says. I closed it up and added another quart, but still have only 5 in it now. The manual says "fill with the new oil up to the check plug port." But it appears to take only 4 quarts to accomplish that.

Any thoughts?"

jr, Because the front axle fill hole is on the left, it takes some time for the oil to make its way to the right side. You'll be able to get the rest of the lube in if you allow some time or possible drive it around for a few minutes.
