I have a Massey Ferguson 1010 2wd, 1987 model. Does anyone know who made these for Massey and what their comparable model would be?

Thanks,
Kerry Strange

The Used Tractor Price Guide lists Toyosha as the engine manufacturer.
Hope it helps,

Thanks, I was looking more for the tractor frame and such. I think it was mad by Hinomoto but I'm not sure. I'm wanting to add a front end loader to it...but it doesn't have power steering and the local dealer doesn't recommend installing the loader since it will be hard to steer. I see in your profile that you have a Cadplans backhoe...was the instructions and mat'l list adequate?

Thanks,
Kerry Strange ....

I was thinking Iseki was the maker of the later compact Masseys. I'd never heard of Toyosho until I say that in the book today.

The plans and material lists were adequate. I ended up using the MetKit metal kit because the holes were pre-drilled. The plans don't include any specific instructions, just general hints, pictures and drawings. You have to improvise as you go.

But I'm just tickled with the end product. I've got a lot of use out of it.

Good luck,
Bill ....
