I have a bx2200 which has had it's share of minor electrical problems. The fuse block that hangs near the radiator now seems to be the latest. It wasn't charging again. I did notice when it's functioning properly the chargin light comes on with the hkey and shuts off with the engine starting. I noticed the light was off again and jiggled the fuse block to find it come on and it started to charge again.
I think the fuse block must have some corrosion in it? This suprises me for a 2001 machine. Does anyone have a chemical they have used with luck to either clean the corrosion or keep it from building up?
thanks..Jim

WD-40 often works. When the terminals have all been cleaned dielectric grease helps to keep moisture out. ....

I'm not familar with the bx2200 but it sounds like loose wire connections. Are there terminal screws that can be tightened up or Molex connectors that may need some cleaning? What works good on molex connectors is some contact cleaner in an airesol can from Radio Shack. Otherwise you have freyed wires that may be shorting out to the frame or opening the circuit. ....
