I think sources of manuals for some Shibaura are mentioned in archive discussions and the electric 3ph is discussed in general.

An owner's manual would be very good to have so you don't have to depend that comments about compacts in general apply to yours. However, in general compact tractors have a common transmission and hydraulic reservoir. So a single fill usually on top of the transmission cover is the oil fill except for a 4wd front axle. Most any general transmission/hydraulic oil from a dealer or box store works. The same oil usually goes in a 4wd front axle as well.

I don't know the tractor but a little more description about what it's doing and we might be able to come up with some suggestions. That model Yanmar may have a creeper on it so there'd be an extra lever that's not familiar to many owners.

On most gear tractors with mechanical engagement it's just a matter of clutching the tractor at idle rpm and pulling the 4wd lever up. Sometimes on my Ford I have to engage the clutch again slightly to reposition the gears so it will engage easily. A dragging clutch may prevent easy engagement. Many manuals call for around an inch of clutch pedal free-play. Too much and the clutch won't completely disengage.

When you first clean and remove an attachment if you spray it down (especially couplers and machined hardware) with WD-40 the film that forms will nearly eliminate rust problems. I prefer a spray bottle to the aerisol can because you can refill it much cheaper from a gallon bulk can. Pretty much sprayed down my entire snowthrower before storing it for the summer.

I have a 2003 2500HD 4X4 Chevy and I get 18-19 around town and if I keep the lead out of the right foot which is hard to do with the Duramax I can get 23 on the highway at 72mph. I realy like the MAX engine.

In most soils yes. A smaller one under 40" with offset to fit the tractor width on one side.

The paint on the pan seemed to be fine (except where the rust had taken over). I think it was just a case of years of heavy salt use. Im not sure its strictly a Ford problem, I think it may happen to more Fords, maybe, because more Fords are used for "working" applications where they are subjected to more extreme conditions. Think about how many more Ford utility, dump, plow/salt trucks you see on the road than Chevys and especially Dodges. Thats not a bust on Dodge, I wouldve actually preferred a Dodge but I couldnt find a 4X4 Dodge dump truck anywhere.
I suspect that my next rust related issue will be with the brake lines or hydraulic clutch lines. Theyre looking bad. Im going to start working on that problem before it becomes a problem.

I recently bought a 460 loader with the John Deere quick-tach, having trouble finding a adapter to fit my skid loader style forks, is there a adapter to go onto my loaders quick-tach so I can use skid loader style attachments with out welding or cutting my loader or my forks - Thanks for any Help!!!

concerning mmm, the 72" kubota mowers are around 2800 and the mid pto kits are around 350. if you are still interested in a mid pto kit, I have an extra new one that came with my RC72-38. my l3130 already had a mid pto on it; so I don't need it. I am looking for a tractor to use, most weeks, to mow approximately 3 acres of lawn immediately around my house. There are several trees, so I probably need something fairly maneuverable with a belly mower. There are another couple of acres adjacent to it that slopes down into something of a sinkhole that would need to be cleared 2 or 3 times a year. I would also, however, like to be able to square-bale hay another 10 acres of gently rolling pasture twice a year.<br>

My knowledge of tractors is minimal to say the least. When brush hog and hay time comes, I don�t mind spending a little extra time to get the job done � i.e. I am not too concerned about speed for the heavier-duty tasks. I am just interested in the smallest, reliable tractor to get the job done. I am thinking 4wd would be wise; however, I am not very clear what I need in terms of horsepower. From what I have read, it sounds as if 35 hp may be the minimum for hay, but could I get by with less for square baling? Any particular tractor models you might suggest? I would probably lean towards a used tractor. I appreciate any recommendations you can offer.

I looked at that one. It's 1.4 inches wider which, on the jd 4310 anyway, seemed to be problematic. It's really tight in there!
