Its my understanding that the 4000's are made of alittle less qulity so it would be price comparitve to the kubota's.At least that is what I was told by the jd / kabota dealer where I bought a 755 over a year ago. I looked at both tractors and spec. sheets. I thought the 4000's was a better looking tractor but as far as owning one for along time I felt the older units would out last the new ones.<br>just my opioun<br>

Since you are wanting more weight I was just wondering why you aren't looking at a small used ag tractor (MF 35, JD 2040, Ford 3000)which are much more readily available and less $ than the compacts, especially a new one.

Don't be sorry, take the 790 and be happy. It is one hell of a tractor for the money. I got the tractor with turf tires a 6 foot land pride back blade, John Deere Loader and five foot finish mower (Land pride) delivered for under $16.000. I have used the loader for a lot of top soil and granel moving and it has not dissapointed me one bit with the turf tires. My dealer tells me he has chains if needed for snow removal but has not sold any yet. We live in Southeastern Mi. and get 12 to 14 inch smow storms and this is heavy wet snow. I have a 600 foot drive to clear and mow 7 acres.

I thought I was the only one who mowed in the dark, have not had that problem this year. It sure is a pain with no side lights though, I may just try those side low wattage truck bed lights sounds like just the ticket. But since I am lazy, let me know if one of you have tried it before I get all bothered in work! :)

I really like my jd790 4wd.DONT HAVE ANY INFO ON LOADER OR BACKHOE.BOUGHT MY 790 3-10-99 MADE A NICE LITTLE GARDEN>clearing out brush>mow my grass with it and all different kind of things. i have about 60 hours on it so far no problems. very pleased with it.

I bought the dump thru our local New Holland dealer. It's a WESTENDORF AUTO-DUMP out of Onawa, Iowa 51040 712 423 2762. They make several items for smaller tractors. It's a six foot bucket and it cost $800 with the hardware to attach. It has an automatic dumping feature. When you raise it as high as it will go, it dumps. So, if you don't want to dump, don't raise it clear up.<br>I haven't received it or the tractor yet so don't know how it'll work. They're supposed to come in in Mid Sept.<br>Thanks for your response. Perhaps I'll get a blade too.

Ford sold the tractor division. Fiat owns the majority of shares in New Holland. I do not know if ford makes parts for the Boomer.<br>
