i havent found any off the shelf fluid that meets the SUPER udt specs. some list the meedt udt specs but the super is new<br>enough that seems noone claims to meet those specs.; be your own judge, but better to be safe than sorry<br>greg

Joe, you don't say what kind of load you intend to pick up with a front loader. I've been using a B7100 (forerunner of the B7300) for the past 4 years and it's been handier than pockets on a shirt and the front loader works fine up to about 500 pounds, but it does steer just a bit hard with a load in the bucket, and don't forget how easy it is to turn one of these little tractors over if you turn too fast with a load too high, etc. Since I want power steering, and a bit more break out power for the loader, I'm trading up to the B2170.

One point I would like to make. A lot of people say that their dealer has been great with all the repairs. But all these are under warranty and they get paid well for doing the work. I had to take my 4100 in twice and the dealer was happy to replace a hyrdraulic line that was wearing due to a poor design and he said he would just do it again if it reoccurs. And he will get paid again. I want to hear about the dealer that does the repair when it comes out of his pocket.

Michael,<br>you and i need to get together. I am the one that posted on the other. My 4400 had the same teardown at about 20 hrs. I am experiencing the power loss and so is a friend on his 4300 hst. the dealer is going to try putting a notch in the threads of his fuel cap to see if the fuel tank is vapor locking when lugging. I am worried that JD will not address this problem and we will be stuck later. The regional rep I am talking to is from K.C.(I live in Iowa). We should find as many people that have the same problems and all keep in touch. This could be a real help down the line. My feelings are all the same as yours. I am lucky enough to have kept the 955. let me know if you are interested in my meeting Aug. 2.<br>Mike Morin

My JD4400HST has been anything but free from defects. Thankfully the dealer is great about fixing those that they know how to fix. The biggest defect so far was the PTO locking up at 8 hours of use which required a major tear-down of the back half of the tractor. Since the tractor was new (currently with 50 hours) it has periodic power loss. It will work fine for a week or two and then without warning while I am driving down the road or even mowing my yard, suddenly lose RPMs and power requiring me to turn off the cruise control and let up on the pedal. If I am in road range axle on the road, I will have to stop the tractor and shift the axle into middle range to keep from stalling. Perhaps 15-30 minutes later, it is working fine and this will not occur again for another week or so. I changed the fuel filter, cleaned the sediment bowl, drained and flushed the fuel tank which did not help. This problem is not dependably repeatable for the dealer to experience and fix. Frankly, this new JD4400HST has had too many problems and if it were not such a workhorse when it was correctly working, I would rather have my JD955 or Kubota 9200HST back since neither one of them required repairs. If it were a car, I would be looking into Missouri's lemon laws. Does anyone have any possible solutions to my power loss problem?

Trade up. To my knowledge no one markets a kit to do this. In any case, parts and labor will be more than the difference between your current tractor and one set up the way you want.

I bought a ford 1620 with hydro and 72 inch deck last winter with 641 hrs. I think these are very similar machines and I paid $10,000. mine is older (1992) but less hrs. Mine was mint condition. Good luck.

I recently purchased a B61004wd.It came with a front blade that works off the tractor's hydraulic(up/down/tilt right/left).I see that this front blade is labeled as a Kubota implement KUFD110.It was made by ARPS DIVISON of CHROMALLOY<br>out of New Holstein,Wis.It is a very good and solid implemant.Is there away to get an owner's manuel for it? Also;is it possible to get a manuel for a K-420<br>tiller? I have looked at a lot of Kubota material but have been unable to find<br>anything about these two units.<br>THANKS<br>Charlie

Pick the one you want, but.....your right about easy on easy off. I have a <br>770 fwd with a loader, mower deck, and a few other attachments and if you are<br>like me the loader goes on and off alot. Especailly in the summer when the <br>mower deck is on and I need to do a quick landscaping job. There is a 100 <br>jobs in the summer for the loader but I perfer not mow with it on. Looking at buying Iseki TS1610 next week (4wd 2cyl deisel, 1250hrs, 3pt hitch, pto, good shape, no implements included). I've read that it's a 20hp but have been told and believe it to be an 18hp tractor? Seller firm @ $3000, is this fair? Is this a dependable tractor brand? Will use to level ~1acre lot with disc and box scrapper. Lot currently has 61 orange trees with many burms and drops 2-3ft over a 300ft distance; tractor needs to be small and able to manuever over obstacles as well as move a substantial amout of dirt. Is this enough tractor for the job (hp) and will it be enough for larger properties in the future (~5-10 acres)? What about 40 acres?<br>I know it's a grey market tractor and have found several web sites that sell parts for such tractors. Has anyone had difficulty finding parts for their grey market tractor? Do you have any good web sites to visit for parts? Non-grey market tractors in good condition are out of my price range ($3000 to $3500 limit).<br>Thanks for your advice, Robert

Be wary of the B8200... I had one with an HSD transmission and it was nothing but trouble and expense. When they start going out they are very expensive to fix and require a lot of labor. It becomes very frustrating when the engine is running hard and you're not going anywhere. Personally, I'll never buy a tractor with HSD again. Read into this what you will.<br>
