Kubota's manual only specifies THEIR transmission fluid (UDT or Super UDT). Does anyone know the "off the shelf" equivelent?

i havent found any off the shelf fluid that meets the SUPER udt specs. some list the meedt udt specs but the super is newenough that seems noone claims to meet those specs.; be your own judge, but better to be safe than sorrygreg ....

Dan,My father has a 2 1/2 gallon HST Kubota Tranny Fluid container, that cross referencesother HST oils that I assume equal in performance. I obviously don't remember any specific brands or grades, but you may want to look at a container like thisat your local Kubota dealer, to get an idea. ....

There was some debate on the Kubota board about Super UDT being either semi-synthetic or full synthetic----causing the higher cost. But the conclusion was some kind of synthetic. But if your manuel specified the Super you had better use it or you would be in for problems down the road. Primarily in the GST trans. if I remember. ....

Also Dan, If your Kubota is still under warranty do not mess with off-brand stuff. Buy your oil from the dealer you purchased the tractor from and documate with receipts etc. and buy what the manuel specifies only. ....
