Guys, I have a 1996 35DI that I bought new in October of '96. I gave $9600 for it with rear hydraulics. I like the tractor. What Jim says is true. The only thing I have had to buy was a glow plug. It came from a Massey dealer! Fuel filters and oil filters come from the local NAPA dealer, using Massey part numbers and crossed to NAPA numbers. Check the website Jim referenced

John, I have 2, 1998 Zetors, model 3320, and I like them! Go to www.amjawa.com fand follow the links to the dealers. There are quite a few in Kentucky. I don't where they are in relation to you. I paid $12,000 for each of mine last December, with a matching fiberglass canopy.

I have been pricing rear blades for my new JD 4400 in NE and am finding that I need to spend between $450 to $500 for JD or Rhino blades that weigh 290-400 lbs. Am I being asked to pay to much? Is 290 lbs too light for landscaping?

I have a kubota B2100 and attempted to attach a cat. 1 sub soiler c/o TSC to the <br>3-point hitch. It appears as if the impliment is too tall as when the 3-point hitch is raised all<br>the way the impliment will still not clear the ground. What am I doing wrong?

Dave,<br>I follow what your telling me. I'm hoping a linkage adjustment will lessen the force now required to move my tractor. I like the Kubota solution you mention. Maybe JD will produce a retrofit.....?<br>Thanks,<br>Lou

<br>I think you all missed the point. I use farm fuels in my tractors (I've been farming for almost 30 years) & have been told by injector pump rebuilders that they(FS, COOP, etc) are superior to alot of the other diesel fuels available. Alot of the others are just #1 or #2 fuel oil. The question was not farm fuel vs. road fuel, it was kerosene vs diesel fuel. I mentioned the repair cost to stress that pump repair can be expensive. That to save a few cents per gallon may not be sound economics. The rebuilder told me that with 5000 hours on injectors & pump it was due for a rebuild.<br>

MLS, while I appreciate your reply, and I will agree that plastics have come a long way, I feel that the plastics used in these tractors construction is inferior to metal. Sure, metal dents, but plastic cracks and breaks. I have a 48 model Ferguson that would be a heap if it were made of plastic. Aside from the cosmetic issue,have you checked out Boomer series? The plastic issue that concerns me is that the grab handles (that assist in getting on and off of the tractor) are attached to plastic. These feel weak and they flex. Kind of feels like the fenders are going to ripp off eventually!Again thanks for your reply.

Seems high I bought mine for 7000.00 with a loader and 272 grooming mower and 840 hours. check out the john deere machinery finder at http://www.machinefinder.com look for john deere model 650 you will find one for about 5750.00 but only has a mower. Check the horse power also I thought the 650 was 18 HP that what my dealer told me.

Best advice I can give is stay off it with any wheeled vehicle heavier than a garden tractor. Each field is different and even the same field is different depending on the moisture content of the soil. The major variables include depth, soil type, moisture and load from vehicle.<br> You may not notice the damage right away, it may take months or years to start causing problems. Leach fields are expensive and will get more so with each passing year due to increased regulations, why take the risk?

This is a good article which I have read before. I have the same problem with jd4200, except my creek is sloped so I can back all the way down it. But it takes a lot of time this way. I've wondered about a statement in my manual that says something about you should not use 4 wheel drive on a steep slope because you could lose traction. (Ido'nt have manual with me right now so this may be wrong.) What does this mean? I bought 4wd for this very reason.

Hi Phil, I have a Bush Hog SQ-60, that's a 60 in, or five foot. It has the slip clutch, and laminated wheel, and seems to work great. I've used it with my Oliver 1250 (35 hp?), but am getting a new Boomer TC29. I expect it'll have enough power. I've cut a lot of Hard Hack, and Blueberry bushes, which are much tougher than saplings. Not intentially, I've also made a lot of smaller rocks out of bigger ones. It still keeps working. By the way, to my way of thinking the slip clutch is much better than shear pins. Before I got mine, I borrowed a friends and spent as much time replacing shear pins as I did cutting. I told you the Hard Hack and Blueberriy bushes were tough.<br>

My dad has the same model, and he loves it. But just recently something caused the bearings in the left rear wheel to go bad. I don't think it was a manufacturing problem, because he works it pretty hard in the woods of his 30 acres (Western North Carolina). He's had it about a year now and has no complaints that I've heard, (Well, except that he can't keep his daughter and 13 year old grand-daughter off of it!! Oops!!)<br>

My dad has the same model and currently farms about 15 of his 30 acres in the Smoky Mountains of NC. He has used his tractor for gardening, mowing, and hauling trailers of firewood from the top of his mountain. If your land in gently rolling, then this should tell you something. I love the machine, and we can't keep my 13 year old daughter off of it either!<br>
