I have been looking at 72" 3 pt. finish mowers. I have looked at King Kutter and Sitrex, both of which appear to be made in Italy. I am leaning toward rear discharge, which King Kutter may not make (not sure yet). The King Kutter is designed with a 3 pt that appears to allow side to side movement for uneven ground. The Sitrex appear to be built a little better, although doesn't allow the sise to side movement, and cost a little more ($1099 for the King Kutter and $1395 for the Sitrex). Does anyone have experience or opinions on either of these units?

Hi Steve,I am a distributor located in the northeast. I distribute KING KUTTER as well as 2 Italian made mowers (Caroni & Sovema) Here is my experienced opinion in a nut shell:King Kutter: made in Winfield ALabama, rugged, proven, durable w/ Vast US parts supply. Fit & finish not quite Italian quality but improving I am a factory authorized distributor. the italians on the other hand, lighter built, ferrari fit & finish but being brought in by importers who may come & go. (Sovema owns their own warehouse in Memphis) all will do the same, different designs & features. KK doeusnt offer r.d. at this time but plans to in the future.happy mowwwwwwwing, Jim ....

Steve,I have a 4 ft KK but I don't know what year it was built; I guess around the early 90's. It is a rear discharge mower and built very solid with 3/16" plate steel housing; not stamped. It is not a pretty unit, as I repainted it after buying on used market but it cuts very, very well. I had a JD belly mower before; it was made from stamped steel and not as durable as the KKutter unit. ....

I am interested in a 6' or 7' King Kutter finish mower. Is there direct factory purchasing? I am located in Lexington, Kentucky. Is there a dealer here? What are the prices for a 6 or 7 foot finish mower? ....
