New here too. I have a Farmi winch that I purchased new in 1980 to use on a Ford 8N. The winch is now on my Kubota 3000DT. I have changed to cable a couple of times but that is it. I do not have any experience with the other brands but have looked at them closely when I could. Mine is non-hydraulic, runs off a PTO drive shaft.

There are rules that have to be followed when using a winch. Off angle pulling is one of them. You can break things if you have a hard pull more than 30 degrees each side off the back of the tractor. I use a snatch block for those off angle pulls or when I need to steer around an obstacle.

That type of tooth bar is good for digging up stones and small stumps and can be used to help loosen compacted dirt. For stones and stumps, I've found it very effective. It has helped me dig out stones much bigger than I could do by hand. There is another style of bar, called Piranha, that teeth are more of a cutting style and I've heard are good for plowing through small brush cutting right at the bottom of the bushes.

I have to update my original post in which I said 3 things helped STOP night time urination:

1) Stopped drinking Coffee
2)Try to eat dinner before 6:30PM, last snack no later than 7:00PM
3)Take Saw Palmetto extract

Well it seems that it was more the fact that BPH was now causing me to retain an enormous amount of Urine rather than any of the 3 items above.

So the retention was so bad I had to get a catheter Friday, catheters really suck !

But at least the Pee comes out easy. Now waiting for Urodynamic test to see if my bladder is fully functional. Oh the joys of getting older.

So have an Espresso on me, eat dinner after 9PM, and save your money and cancel your order for Saw Palmetto :-(

I have heard about using WD40 as was mentioned here, but I am afraid of the risk of the aerosole can blowing up in my face. I had heard years ago that had happened based on the propellant that was used then.<br>

Macomac, I recently developed similar problem with my 2001 New Holland TC45D tractor. Tried most of the same things you have tried. My next gamble will be replacing the complete fuel filter assembly. Will let you know if it helps. The vent line to the tank fills up with fuel thru the vent on top of the fuel assembly the second I turn the fuel valve back on. Seems to me the vent line would need to stay open for things to work correctly.

I have a cub cadet 7260 with loader and am wanting a backhoe. It says a cub cadet 408 or 407 but those are almost impossible to find. So i read a woods 7500 or 750 work well. Now my problem is I need a subframe for it and thats also impossible to find, even new! Any help is appreciated.

The Massey 2850 is a solid machine with excellent parts support. The engine is an Iseki which is also very reliable. I would go with the 2850.

My 855 is in need of an engine replacement. I was told that mine cannot be repaired it spun the bearings At this point I do not know if I should sell it as salvage or continue looking for a replacement.The newer generation Yanmar engines will not fit and it is a shame that I cannot repair it because the rest of the tractor is still in good shape

#21 is for draft control, you will want it pushed to the left most of the time, right when plowing

#22 forward the brake is on, would not use it there unless the pto really needs to come to a sudden stop. mostly use center to disengage and rear to engage.

#23 should be turned clockwise to independent pto, engine drives pto. you do not want it in the counter-clockwise ground driven position. no real use for that unless maybe use use a old sickle mower.

the pto should not be strong enough to turn the mower when disengaged

all my tractors have a different set up then this one, maybe someone else will chime in.

you second picture may be of the draft control. could you take it from further back? it is in the rear?

I would also recommend cleaning the whole machine with a pressure washer. I do this to any new to me machine, helps to find leaks and other problems

Thanks, I have a 1963 JD deisal with 24 volt system. I took the old gauge off it has 2 connection.bought replacement from JD with three connections, replaced new sender,Hooked up like directions showed still does not work. I ran all new wires to see if I had bad wire connectors,still does not work.Help Please.<br>

Greetings ! I bought a B21 at auction that was a rental machine so has seen plenty of use. I replaced all the fluids and filters when I got it, and it runs and operates ok. My issue is a noise from the hydraulic system, similar to what a power steering might make when low on oil.. fluids are all up, and only issue is pressure leaks down after shutdown that I see..<br>
Anyone have any ideas ?

Many excellent points. You brought me back to the old days when the family of 6 would pile into an old 6 seat double bench, Ford sedan for a vacation. Man it weighed a couple of tons :). No AC no PS but a V8. My grandfather was a house painter and the rocker panels had rusted out in only 3 years, he filled it with something you use on house painting and painted it with a brush , he would say when anyone noticed the brush strokes, HEY ITS ONLY TEMPORARY, he was so right !!

I've been having problems with the deck on my 445 disconnecting from the draft arm. The only thing I noticed at first was the nylon lift arm bushings were broken and worn out, so I replaced them. After mounting the deck I discovered that when lowering the deck, instead of moving straight down it goes down and toward the front, causing the hooks in the deck to allow the draft arm to disconnect from the deck. I need help since the field is already a foot high and every time I go outside it starts raining!<br>
