Hello brand new on here, I just purchased a old mt250 tractor and I am having hydraulic issues. <br>
<br>
Unbolting the suction pipe from the transmission there is a spring that sticks out a little bit. I am going to try to post a picture. <br>
<br>
Is this supposed to be here ? There is no picture or mention of it in the manual I have.<br>

WOW what a trip down memory lane. I don't git here like I used to before the Harleys, in 2010.

Got here a long time ago simple login, can't do that anymore.

Been a ton of info gleaned from all the comments. I should try to make it a point to visit more often. I'm currently helping a local farmer with field work driving truck. Harvest crops and currently hauling Liberal Brains to field and spread.

Plotting or trip west again this year on bike. Last year was 30 days on road 8,406 miles, on the touring bike pulling our little trailer. We've seen alot of the USA in the past 8 years.

As others said. Position your stuff so you can work smarter. I always use the term size 3 hat 54 jacket. All brawn no brain!

I just bought a set of forks quick attach to front loader. Move things to make easier. Bought some steel to make a new wood rack to go to wood pile has steel casters on it so can move it on concrete floor to the wood furnace. Used to lug all the wood in a wagon.

I still have some attachments I have to muscle some, but not like I used to.

The key is stay active. Keep doing stuff. I tell my cardiologist I know I'm not 30 any more Do you want me to git a rocker sit in a corner and wait or do what I can with in some limits.

Still trying to connect navel (Bellybutton) to brain.

At what point or age should you stop Tractoring

I forgot to say. I don't think Long had any mid mount implements such as mower deck. My memory is they don't have a large hyd oil flow or gallons per minute (gpm) so not sure how well a loader would work on them. Unless your tractor came with one or you were to find a used one at a good price you will find a new loader will cost more than the tractor. I know my brother's did have rear remote for the hydraulic use. Probably a dealer add on.

KT thanks so much. You saved me from going down the wrong path thinking RedMax and Husky were the same, only in name now. When I bought the Red Max the dealer touted that all the landscapers swore by them not at them.

I think my Dad breifly had a Poulan at one time or Poulan private label, it was awful anyway, hard to impossible to adjust the the chain tension. The Stihls were a dream by comparison.

For whatever reason I find the gas bulb tools start easier than the ones without, and as you say keep on squeezing that bulb.

I was not thinking that a brand new saw would be a pain becasue of EPA regulation making them hard starting, great point.

Unless you are talking about a smaller and extremely well sealed building propane is no issue whatsoever. LPG fueled forklifts have been used inside warehouses, factories and greenhouses in North America for many decades. It is very safe.

First off, welcome!!

The speed of the loader is not determined by pressure so much as flow. Often people put flow restrictors (throttle valves) in the lines to keep the speed down for safety reasons.

The stalling sounds like you've got something binding up in there. A little more detail would help though.

Replace the gas tank and a new gas cap.The seams on the side of the tank leak . Fuel pump is strong enough to implode the tank and crack it on bottom if fuel cap is clogged a bit.

Hi all- Well... no updates yet. Its been cold and i'm still snowboarding these days. This week we will be in the 60's so maybe I will get out there and change the fuel filter and bleed the line and also check to see how strong the fuel comes out of the line at the Block! I will let you all know :)

They make a variety of spouts and also offer what is need to make their spouts adapt. I had fits getting fuel uo into the tank on my JD 970 with the mower attacked. I bought one of their kits plus an extension. Problem solved with my 2 foot flexible tube.

Last Spring I was asking about how to level my yard, so I did nothing in 2020.

I am feeling the moviation to level the low spots in the yard this spring.

I am going to get some marking paint and spray all th elow spots.

I'm at the other end of the spectrum, we buy oils in large enough quantities that it's delivered by bulk tank truck and pumped into our shop tank. Both motor oil and several grades of hydraulic fluids, including generic Super UDT. The same is true of filters, when our order comes in it is on a pallet, sometimes more than one pallet.

Synthetic is not something we're interested in, or spending the extra money on.

An oil and hyd. fluid change isn't cheap, when you're doing dozens of machines, often more than once a month each, it really adds up fast.
