Hello brand new on here, I just purchased a old mt250 tractor and I am having hydraulic issues.

Unbolting the suction pipe from the transmission there is a spring that sticks out a little bit. I am going to try to post a picture.

Is this supposed to be here ? There is no picture or mention of it in the manual I have.
