Hello I'm new to this so I don't really know what to say. I have a john deere 4100 with a 410 loader. The loader and power steering work flawlessly but the 3 point hitch will not move. I just bought the tractor and didn't know own much about it and when I tried to hook up to a plow today the are would not pick up. I've don't a complete fluid flush and I have cleaned the filter and magnets and still nothing. And advice or things to check be for I take it to a dealer? Thank you very much. <br>

Look below how many post you have and it should show link there to "edit/delete".

No idea what your local market is like but for me, I much rather buy a quality product use than a lower quality product new. It is impossible to improve low quality once is it made (very seldom any way) as easy as to replace a worn out quality part. There are some good used tractor search engines out there and think Case and JD both have their own but there are many others. One point, those big web sites often are running a week or two behind the lot so expect to hear it is sold. The dealers that have web sites normally are very prompt in their site's info. Would suggest you do some looking, find dealerships you would buy from and talk with them in person if reasonable. If not at least on the phone for often the best buys are sold before they are on the big web sites. Have bought from two different dealerships used before the tractor hit their lot and in botch cases were comfortable enough with the person working with to in one case bought it totally over the phone and did not see till unloaded here and the other committed to it based upon inspection on their lot when ready. Turned out I went a day early and did not even hear it run till being unloaded for me. I blew the radiator out pretty good a while back when i had tractor in my shop to replace the bellhousing. Its definitely something i need to checkout again as well. But itnseems to run hot even with the radiator being clean of debris. I do need to get an infrared thermometer and check for cool spots on radiator as well.

The question still stands though, is a 3 psi cap to low?

This shows the lack of penetration on their welds Allso look at the tine bolts that are falling out.Other bolts were striped on with an impact wrench and were a real Bit%$#$%h to get off

I just purchased a 1985 446. The seller thought the high low shifter was not working. That was not the problem. After a look down in by the pump I discovered that the c18916 coupler is bad. Does any one out there know where to find something like that?<br>

Don't worry about it. I have a 3720 with the heating chamber and never had a problem in 5 years.<br>

I did have it in Wisconsin for 4 of those years. Stored in unheated pole shed but when it got really cold I would plug the crankcase heater in for easier starting.

Having problems with box blade on D2650FD. <br>
Was working, then just quit as I was box blading <br>
We have checked hydraulic fluid and screen but those are fine. Any help what we can check? We have just recently purchased this tractor and have no manual.

Sorry on the urgency you are facing. I have a Kubota basically replaced by a John Deere (nothing against Kubota just found what I wanted in used JD but did look at used Kubota also) and thought was going to sell the Kubota. Then over the winter got to thinking so if you sell the Kubota you have one main work tractor (other is a 27 hp, a good yard tractor and such) so not much in the field. Then I thought you have had the Kubota do down in the crunch of getting ready to plant so decide to keep it. Turned out to be wise move not due to breakdown but allowed my brother to help with getting fields ready and planting as he was able to run one for me and me the other.

I live a few miles west of Myrtle Beach SC. Some of you have visited there and hope you enjoyed it. It still amazes me how many people move here away from family, friends and homes they had for years. Have met some who never had visited but sold, packed and came. Guess that spirit still lives. My youngest sister who married an Air Force guy who was son of I believe Navy guy and to him the where is not important it is the military benefits being near and the tax and such. They finally have left his last base in Illinois to Texas. My sister says if he dies before her it is for sale and she is coming home to family and childhood friends. The only two issues with that is where will their one child be and what family and childhood friends will still be here.

Hi.I've taken the front differential apart and have the input shaft out.Do you think that you can get one.There are 14 splines and shaft would be 20mm if thats possible.

My 2360 has very little noise in the tranny, so I wouldn't use it until you figure it out. I've only had noise on other tractors when the throw out bearing failed and a main shaft bearing failed. Both made awful noises. Since the parking brake goes inside the transmission, you might also check to see if it makes a difference in the noise.

Check with an automotive parts store. Many of them all carry assortments of such type of connections. Do take your current one with you.

FIRST PART HERE: VERY IMPORTANT you could be bypassing safety switch when running jumper wires: you can not be too carefully to be sure tractor is NOT in gear when doing so. Verify and verify again, there have been those killed when any power machine cranks in gear with no one is the seat.

Tombar, in running wire to the starter are you bypassing the starter solenoid? If you are think it is the solenoid.
But to basics: you have check fuses and verified they are fine. So lets begin in the beginning, the battery. Know the battery is fine for running second cable it cranks the engine. But how about the cable connections on the batter itself? The cable you are running how does it connect to the batter, if over the cable clamps that should mean good connection there, but if not then check the clamp you are bypassing.

Now the positive cable, the one you are running jumper for take it loose from the solenoid and clean that connection and oh back to the clamp on the battery end and this end be sure that cable is good inside those ends also.

Battery cables do fail and their connections do corrode and the problem can be hard to see, so remove and look carefully. On any battery cable clamps or ends you remove clean then with wire brush or medium sandpaper. They can glaze off and break the connection.

If not in that be sure power is coming back to the solenoid from the key switch to engage the solenoid. That is easy to test if you do not have any test light or meter, run a hot jumper to that post on the solenoid, if it work then you know.

IF no power is going the post to engage the solenoid from the key switch check all safety switches. If you have meter or test light see if power is to them and through them, check both terminals to see if both have power with key in start position. If one end does and the other does not bad switch or it needs adjusting.

Be careful and relax you will find it. kt
