needing to find a clutch disk, pressure plate and bearing for e2604 tractor. any advice on who to call or where to look , been all over internet.<br>

My thoughts were that perhaps you wasn't getting current through the battery wire to the battery terminal. If you are getting current to the ignition switch then you can check the to see if you are getting current through the switch by turning to the start position and checking voltage at different terminals.

Just put your palm over the "button" as you call it with the holes in it and you can feel it heat up. My experience thus far is that in the summer you need 0 to 10 seconds. By this I mean that somestimes I have rolled it out and hit the starter and it fired off with no preheat of the glo plugs. In the winter, on the other hand, 30 seconds at least and sometimes several attempts. The 372 is a cold natured beastie, at least the one I have is. Good hot battery helps. I keep a Battery Tender on mine. Sometimes a forced air shop heater blasting on the engine for a half hour gets it going. But this this only necessary when you are up to your ;) in snow outside.

Is it just the tractor and no loader or backhoe and no other attachments?

These machines can run lots of hours but that said the average home owner would only put 500 hours on in 10 years so you are buying a 30 year old machine by home owner standards. Be ready to start doing more than just regular maintenance which can be pricey if going to a dealer.

No voltage on any alternator wire with the ignition in the on position. There is only voltage when the tractor is running. The key switch has a wire to the starter on the "starter position" to crank, but there is nothing connected to the key switch in the "on position" except for a wire going to the fuse panel (for lights).

check that the fuel shutoff rod did not get bent and that it is moving the fuel shut off lever on the injection pump.

Interesting that the control module fixed your problem, wish I could say the same. After blowing fuses left and right, I gave up and had the dealer look at it.

they determined that the new solenoid I installed was defective from the factory and that the fusible link to the starter had blown. for the solenoid, I believe that it may have seen damage in all the debugging and testing I did, but I was happy to have them give me a new part for no charge. the fusible link was not something I would have known to check. anyway, for future reference, anyone reading this thread... both of these items are possible sources of trouble.

tractor is now fixed. :-)

Started up my Belarus 400A for the first time this year and the transmission is grinding and not allowing me to shift. It is acting like the clutch is not fully disengaging. I adjusted the clutch pedal and didn't help. Checked the transmission oil level and it is full. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks.

If you know your transaxle is going all the way into forward gear and it jumps out then your problem is worn gears on the input shaft of your transaxle. Forward gear, shift collar and, while you are in there, the sprocket (reverse) gear also. Reverse doesn't wear as much, but you would have new gears meshing with old if you didn't replace it.

One thing about any slab raising is you need to plug of any loss of the "mud:. That means jamming in plywood, boards, etc alongside the slab. It may even take jamming rags into joints between slabs.

No way would I use expanding foam. If it gets out of hand, no way to stop it. With jacking, as done for years now, you watch what is happening and you adjust your work accordingly. I failed to mention, you can include some cement with the mix if you fear it will be lost by some weak area. The cement will cause slow setting and will add a little fluidity as you pump, Getting the first flow can be difficult, due too little space under there for lifting. The more space filed with mud under pressure, the easier it comes up.

I'd call another guy and see what you get.

Here we have the herbicide in liquid form. Guess there is liquid fertilizer (well I know there is) if you want to avoid the dust but if you are getting that much dust out there you are beating the fertilizer to death. If you used a powder can you not water it in at least enough to help it dissolve? I doubt you would be applying it enough to cause you or your dog an issue unless you really beating it to dust or doing much more than your yard. Of course there are dust mask, probably for the dog also. LOL

Of course there is cow manure if you want to go that way with the fertilizer which is natural.

Well Art is the "PRO" and probably has hit it but these are my thoughts: Have you check the hyd oil level? Do you have any implement with a belt on it running? If so have you checked the belt?
