I found the manual for the engine and they claim no bleeding needed. I pulled the hose off where it goes into the high pressure pump-no fuel flow. I guess the lift pump is blown? I can push fuel through with a hand pump from the outlet of the lift pump to the bowl. This will be the second lift pump I've put in. :(

I'm really glad you guys informed me about this, because I hadn't thought about that happening. I know thats right because I have a 3pt drawbar attachment that accepts a trailer hitch and if weights in the back of the trailer it will tilt up. I will take a look at fabricating a set of lock downs for it. Larry.

Thanks Monty. I'm not suprised to see things not 'by the book' but 8 teeth off seemed a bit much. My concern was that I caused it by turning the engine over with the pump removed. The pump drive gear floats around in there rather freely.

I'll check the timing again by the book. Getting unburned fuel out the exhaust, jsut won't light off.

Problem solved. To make a long story short - made one good one out of two bad ones.
Getting fuel to the cylinders now but it's not lighting off.

Nobody else jumped in her but I can only assume you meant to the three point hitch. This is not an option as the cylinder used built into the tractor is only one way.

The old IH tractors with two point hitch had down pressure and there is three point hitch adaptors available for them. The problem is the three point hitch attachments are not built for down pressure and they tend to bend up the hitch components.

It is hard enough to do the diagnosis and repairs yourself and then not be able to complete the work because you have to search all around for the parts you think you need.<br>

I put a 2 x 8 in the bedliner like Yooper said in the grooves that provide for one about 2 feet from the tailgate.

On my first pickup I had a full Cap with slider windows. That sorta turns it into a Suburban without seats. When I wanted to go pick up an engine and had to remove the Cap it was a real PIA with all the bolts and needing a helper etc..

I skipped the cap on my next truck..

My brother uses those rubber maid storage tubs that he puts close to the cab. But an open truck provides zero security.

I think something simple will be better in the long run like Yooper said.

Hello massfarmer, try this, pull your boot up, that is around your loader joystick. Look down in there, and you should see what looks like the head of a bolt, but is actually a plug. unscrew that and look down in the hole and see if that threaded plug has came out of it's hole . If so get a allen head socket and thread it back in the hole. I have a TC45 and that was all that was wrong with mine. Good luck

Not sure how you tell one is weaker or slower, unless you can bench test them.

But here goes: The seal on the shaft rod could be bypassing oil. Easy fix remove rod check cylinder for wear install new seal.

I have a new 8560. I like the tractor in every way other than my previously noted issue with the transmission. That issue was simply that PARK did not hold the tractor in park. I had mine in park, on a grade, left the baler running, got out to move a bale, the tractor was sitting there for 15 seconds and then kicked out of gear and rolled down the him and rolled. Kubota took no responsibility for this at all other than the dealer telling me he would give me a 20% discount on the repairs. Those repairs consited of a new cab and a new front end loader. The cost of this to me, including the discount which I assume was applied, was $19,000. And it obviously was an adjustment issue on the transmission given the tractor stayed in place for at least 15 seconds before kicking out of gear. So the moral of the story is to either finance the purchase (which evidently automatically brings insurance coverage I was told), insure the tractor yourself, never put the tractor in PARK on a grade (and good luck with that)or try another brand. Like I said, the tractor has plenty of power, seems solid, good turn radius, it's all good other than this tranny issue. So if you want one I am happy to sell you an M8560 with about 40 hours on it at a great price as I am actually not needing this tractor now as we are changing operations. I paid right at 59k (not including the 19k for the new cab and loader)and will sell it for 50 if you are interested.
