I don't have a limited lift hitch, so no real life experience but.
If your rockshaft has enough power to still lift the stump grinder you could gain some lift heitht by adding a few inches to the length of the draft arms and the top link.
That would mean a longer PTO shaft also.
Just a thought.

One of our sons who works for a major oli company said their sales of the new "Safe" antifreeze that was all the talk several years ago have droped to nearly nothing. Even tho the new fresh from the jug product was a safe fluid it became contaminated with all sorts of toxic things after it was in an engine for a length of time.
It just cost more but really didn't solve the problem.

As an addicted Farmall restorer I can gurantee it wiii get expensive.
A lot depends on how far you want to go with the old four wheeller.

I still have a couple of five thousand dollar "H" Farmalls. They started out as 500 dollar "H's" but after total restoration, new tires, Paint, on and on they suddenly became five thousand dollar "H's", and this was before tires became really expensive.
At one time I had a dozen or more in all stages of restoration from total junk heaps on up to total restoration. I sold the rest of the "Herd" on our farm auction in 07 along with a couple hayracks of parts. They aren't for sale, "yet", The one I'd like to keep in the family, It was my Dad's H.
I guess I almost forgot the "Cub", ot is complete head to toe inside, but needs tires and paint yet, It just never ends once you are addicted.

So anyway I guess what I'm saying is I've never got into anything as big as your 4366 to restore, but like my "H"'s it would be easy to have three times what it's worth tied up before you are done. I think you mentioned the tires are good, eight new ones would eat up the biggest share of the 10K you are talking about spending.

The cnh chassis problem is unique to them. There are far more brands without the problem then there is with a problem.

I believe that the difference was the loader mounting used as well as the use of the tractor and the numbers sold.
For many of us Red tractor dealers we had lost our compact tractor line-up from Case several times at this point. Do to the hardships many of us went to brands we had more control of with consistancy in service and parts for our customers for the long haul not just for the sake of having something to sell. Some made the the choice of not selling any compacts depending on their location and markets.

I have recently seen bucket "teeth" that were mounted on an aftermarket tooth bar that had a "cap" or crown covering a solid, rectangular bar stock tooth. The cap was held in place with a roller pin that had to be drifted out in order to remove the cap. The cap was relatively thin steel. The cap was sharp while the bar stock tooth stub was dull. I think you were on the right track Murf, the tooth "caps " are the parts that need to be kept sharp. After a few sharpenings, they are meant to be removed and replaced new for a relatively low cost. The old method was to sharpen the bar stock tooth. Unfortunately, when these wore down, the only option was to break out the plasma cutter, remove the blunt tooth, and weld in a replacement. The new method allows for easy, quick, cheap replacement. Running the bucket without these "caps" if it was designed to use them, would eventually render the teeth useless. I noticed this set-up at the quarry a few weeks back, and asked the operator about it. He said they used to break the solid teeth once or twice a week. Each time, two hours downtime. Now, they just keep spare "caps" and roller pins onboard. When they need to replace, two minutes.

We have a couple of lakes up here where the wise actually tie off ropes to trees on the shore for safety. They have some pretty good currents as well as springs at the bottom.

looking at the parts breakdown it would have to be one end or the other moving! So start with the front end being loose!

According to the information that I have, the 821 is as follows:
8- 4 wheel all purpose type with adjustable front axle, 172 cu. in. gas, lp, or diesel.
2 - four speed transmission, no PTO or 3-pt
1 - 01 series 1958-1962.
Your serial number suggests the tractor was built in 1959. It could be that your transmission has been changed so that you have the over/under and added 3 pt. I am sure that others can offer some more input to your questions.

Upgraded my snow removal equipment this season. Traded up from my 16 year old Steiner 410 to a 440 diesel. Snow equipment includes a 60" power angle blade, 48" snow blower and my recently refurbed 48" sidewalk vee plow. Bill

The tractor was actually made by Steiger, as are all the other, later, 4WD, with the exceptions of the 2 +2 tractors. IH owned part of Steiger up until their buyout by Case when Case then took control of Steiger.
It is an International, not a Farmall, as Farmall refers to being row crop capable. It wasn't until later, when, AFTER IH dropped the Farmall name (around 1975) that Steiger brought out a row crop version of their tractor. Not sure IH offered a version of that, since the 2 +2 was out and it was row crop capable.

I often see the guys that install them around here [WV] use 3 treated 2x6s in the ground,they leave the middle one 2' shorter and then use framing for the rest of the way.they are staggered to tie them together stronger,and they hinge the top sections up into place. That way they get any length they need and don't pay for higher priced 6x6s.
