I hope the leak wasn't diminishing because it's getting empty. If you run it with the axle or diff dry you'll soon need more than a seal.

The huge number of optional loader attachments available to skidsteer owners is pretty impressive, and they all use the same universal attachment plate.

While it is true that Kubota offers a limited selection of loader attachments, the mounting plate cannot be used with Bobcat style attachments. It can only be used with Kubota's attachments........but there aren't many to pick from.

If, at some point in the future, I decide to upgrade to a larger L-series or M-series Kubota, I'll gladly go through the trouble of modifying my loader with the skidsteer style adapter plate. The selection of skidsteer loader attachments is nearly endless....from snow buckets to log splitters and everything in between.

it seems that the rear axle is leaking a lot of fluid when the tractor is in four wheel drive. Is this still over flow or something else??

Frank I hear ya about posting for the different stuff. I feel a little bad also about lack of visit time also.

I'm on a pretty good exercise program get 8-10 hours a week, gym, walk, run, bicycle plus I feel like doing stuff in the shop now. (lost over 70#) now on a maintenance program. The Harley only has about 6,600 miles on it so far this season that is neglected also.

But like the "ole boy" said: "if you don't have time to exercise a couple hours a week do you have time to be dead 24/7."

Bleeding fairly straight forward crack a couple fuel lines at the injectors. Turn over till you get fuel squirt, retighten. Do not use ether to start. You will dry the cylinders and lock up engine if you use to much. If you have to use something to help start use wd40

I don't know Kubotas but if nobody else comes on, you could check the wires to and from the controller, disconnct or bypass it, check any other systems on the same circuit, or try a higher-amp fuse.

It just has a head gasket. No oring. I would say the tractors are of a similiar design. the parts are not the same.

Yes,I am not convinced the new look looks better than the 430's.I love some of the new features of the 440,but I am really likeing my Utilimax now.It may be a little underpowered on a couple of my hills,but love every other aspect of it.Eddie

thanks for the compliments Eddie. I have found John at Mast Lepley has more current knowledge than I. I even go to him with questions. He is more up to date on the newer Steiners than I am.

Mast Lepley in my opinion is one of the premium dealers in the Steiner net work past and present. Hope they keep it up.

Back the first of March, right before I traded my MF 231 in on a new Kubota L3240 I tried to pull up an old stump with the MF 231. The tractor sat there and the rear tires spun, but the stump never moved.<br>

Tuesday of this week I came across a 10X10X6 dog kennel that the owner wanted to sale for $90.00. I bought it! Yesterday (August 31st) I decided to put this kennel up in the area where this old stump, mentioned above, was located. At first I thought I would just take the chain saw and cut the old stump off as close to the ground as possible. This morning I decided to see if my L3240 could pull it up. I hooked a chain to the stump and to a tool bar on the rear of the L3240. I put the L3240 HST in low range, and the tractor in four wheel drive. To my surprise the stump came right on up out of the ground. The L3240 did not moan and groan, it just kept pulling until the stump was free. I then turned around and got enough of the old stump into the FEL to allow me to pick it up and move the stump to the rear of our property and deposit it into a burn pile there that just continues to get bigger. <br>

I feel like I have a compact utility tractor, and a large tractor, all in one package. I continue to be amazed with the functionality, and capabilities of the 32 HP L3240!

Next week begins my solar project with the installation of an array of panels to produce 7.3 KW.

I researched and have been involved with windmills for some time and the reality is you need to be very young and have plenty of funding from big brother to make those anywhere near a payoff prior to kicking the bucket as it pertains to a residential generator.

As for the large commercial generators, again, taxpayers fund those things one way or another otherwise we would not be many of them either.

Hello my name is Nathan and i work for LongParts.com there could be a couple of things going on, 1 you could have oil passing by piston rings which should cause you to loose compression so i would hook up a compression tester 2 your power steering pump or hydraulic pump is leaking into the timing area where you do have some tubes to return oil to the crankcase and if you are getting that much oil your oil level would be really high. Both ways would push oil out of your breather tube on the side of the engine
