If you are mowing around fruit trees, suggest you get the largest mower deck you can operate and fit between. That way the deck projects a good distance beyond the width of the tractor, so the height of your tractor won't get tangled in the tree branches. A 45HP tractor should run a 7ft. deck without any trouble.

It may take you a little while to get familiar with mowing with a rear mower deck. You need to look behind you, while you are navigating around trees. Likewise, rear mounted implements turn the opposite direction for a bit when pulling away from objects and can be slow to come back or really swing in fast.

I've been fortunate not to have had a front drive casualty in any of the 4 Chinese tractors I've owned. That's the good part. That bad part is that I subsequently cannot competently answer your questions about [i]how much[/i] play is engineered into the design. But my SWAG would be that some - if not all - of that play you describe is engineered in. Given that there's no center differential, there's got to be some "give" built in to compensate for when the transfer case has the front drive shaft engaged. Short of wheel slippage, there's no other compensation for those times when front and rear diffs are turning at different speeds.<br>

But what I can tell you is that the vast majority of Jinma 200 series front drive failures occur when using the loader with 4wd engaged. All too many owners unfortunately only find this out for the first time when they hit the Internet to find out what went wrong. This has been a known weakness of the 200 series - especially the earlier models - for over 10 years now. Knowledgeable [b]and ethical[/b] dealers/sellers reveal this to new owners right up front. <br>

Simple things first. Always have the fuel tank at least half full. I saw this as a post and tried it, it works. My hard starting is a thing of the past!

Skip a few comments and questions: are you new to an excavator? The way you lean forward is that to help see better or by chance a back issue? Often I will lean when something hard is going on, such as pulling stump and just does not want to move. One machine I do wear seat belt on is my mini, have hit head as it rocked over mound of dirt and bout bounced out seat more than once without belt. I don't grab joy sticks if not belted in. Now I don't remember if you wear glasses or not but do recommend safety glasses and maybe ear muffs. Have had my face sprayed more than once by dropping stump in mud or water or limb popping and snapping back at me. You were putting the blade down with each move, was that for stability or to keep it from sliding or some other reason. Boy it sounds like solid rock you teeth were scraping on!

To the thumb, the person who did mine had portable welder and came to me. One reason I did not mind paying his price. At same time the guy should be able to come to the machine and take all measurements he needs to have thumb ready and only need the machine for the most two days to install it. Yep see why you want a thumb.

Be sure you are greasing ALL fittings as they are suppose to be. Looks like a good area for wildlife. Be safe, have fun and do good out there.

I been trying to trouble shut this problem with out much success. The hydraulics was not working at all auxiliary nor 3pt. So I dropped the filter cleaned it very dirty filled with diesel worked hydraulics several hours. Auxiliaries worked great 3pt. Worked with no weight but with 205 pounds bleed down wouldn't hold or lift with weight. Drained diesel cleaned filter again filled with hydraulic fluid now 3pt. Does not work auxiliary works great. I pulled cover off and ran tractor with cover off auxiliary has lots of return the the tub ( exhaust pipe ) running to the selector valve / hydraulics pump controler. Has hardly any flow I can stop the flow with my fingure. It is a 283 UK model 1987 if anyone can help I would be greatly thank full,<br>

Don't waste your time on the Iseki website, Farm Boss is a rebadged Jinma (Chinese). Please find the tractor plate - usually either inside one of the rear fenders or alongside the transmission housing. And the engine plate - usually either on the side of the valve cover or the side of the engine block. Once you tell us what those plates say, we can go from there.

My Kubota 60" mower deck started making a grinding/vibrating noise when deck is on the ground. It quits when I raise the deck with the mower still running. I'd think if it was a spindle or pulley it would do it all the time?? Everything seems to turn freely by hand. Blades aren't touching. I had the deck off for the winter, sharpened the blades and attached to tractor. Was fine last year. Seems to get worse when I change ground speed or deck runs over a low spot in yard. It has me baffled! Any ideas? Thanks alot.

Anyone have an opinion on the new JD Series 1 compact - the 2305 replacement? Are the new options enough to make a switch from a 2210? The biggest attraction for me is the auto depth control on the 3 pt hitch on the 26 hp "R" version. I haven't see the cost yet.<br>

You need to remove the tin cover under the belly of the tractor to get to the transmission filter. That is the smaller filter you have left over. The filter under the step is the hydraulic suction filter.

i would not take some thing to john deere, every other make u can get answers to, except JOHNDEERE, i found the bolt size, screwed it in ,one tape from the hammer, it popped right off, the bolt needed is a 9/16 sae thread, tom, davie ,fl

The hotter the engine oil, the harder to see a clear line on the stick, so you can check when cold and not worry about heat expansion. Or at least wait a few minutes after shutdown.<br>

Hyd fluid doesn't get as hot, but usually there's a greater volume of it, and you don't know how much is in cylinders that hold variable volumes. <br>

That's why heat expansion must be catered to somehow. The usual is to leave several inches of headspace (not filling to the top), moreso if the fluid and the ambient temp are cold and the engine's off. Or you can operate the rig such that the fluid is as hot as it gets, move pistons to empty the cylinders, and check that the level doesn't reach the cap under those conditions.<br>

I put the box blade on. Made a noticeable difference in stability. I am now able to put in an oversized load into the bucket and the rear end isn't hopping around.

On a further note I almost got it stuck today. Last week I had rented an excavator and dug around the pond pulling out a lot of mud and rock. It came some really awful rain and winds yesterday. I was moving the dirt and rock away from the edge of the pond and it was kinda wet in there. The front tire went down into a hole and began to spin not moving an inch backward. Tried going forward notta. I was unable to move forward or back. Me thinks hmmm. Its time to try out your new best little friend... So I lowered the FEL lifting the front tire out of the rut. WHile in 4 wheel drive, pushed down the locking in both rear wheels tab, tipping the bucket tip which was pointed toward the rear, back toward the front. This was enough leverage to give me traction enough to get outta there.

I decided not to press my luck and wait until it dries out more before moving any more.

I LOVE this tractor. I am at 20 hrs now. I feel comfortable on it and it moves with ease around the place. I love the short turning radius it has even when in 4wd.

So I do a search using your full info on that engine and the link below might solve your needs or make them worst.

Per it that engine is only used by JD and they are the only ones who can get it. Back to, find a JD small engine shop that sells their lawn mowers and you probably will find they sell the gators also. The one here did. They JD ticked them cause they wanted them only to sell JD so told them goodbye and find someone else for your warranty. Not sure JD found anyone else. Know no one else picked up the JD line.
