I'm a little confused here, two days earlier than the above statement you [u]asked if[/u] wider pin placement would increase breakout force. Now, without any information offered or disputed in the interim, you "maintain your position" that the wider pin placement [u]does[/u] give better breakout force.

Can you explain how the width of the cylinder mounts could possibly change the breakout force?

Thanks, I do not mow lawns with my tractor I have a zero turn Ferris for that. My dealer is coming tommorow to pick up my B2150 to change fluids and take a look to see if there is any internal damage. I really love this tractor. The L looks to be the same tractor regarding size HP number of cyl's etc.

An electrical switch is not normally a sometime or almost thing. They normally work or they don't. Have the fuel filters been checked lately?

I just purchased a model 88 Ezee Flow in absolutely great condition.I already put it to work putting down 3 tons of lime. Does anyone out there have a manual for one? I am also looking for a picture of the flow settings that was on the inside of the lid. Any help out there would be great appreciated. <br>

To check the starter correctly, you need power to the lug on the solenoid, then you need to unplug the red wire on the solenoid and touch a jumper wire to the connection where the red wire was. That will pull the solenoid and the other end of it will pull a fork and activate the starter drive. On the other problem, the hot wire that runs the fuel pump goes thru the diff lock switch and the parking brake switch before it gets to the fuel pump. Both those switches are under the cover that's under the seats. When you turn the ign. to on the first two lights on the left side of the dash should come on. Also with the key on if you pull the emergency brake and activate the diff lock, both those lights should come on. After that it's the fuel pump. I think the fuel pump ground is the first ground that comes off the main ground on the right rear passenger side of the motor.

Based on your description of the oil smell & colour, and the noise in reverse, I'd say the whole thing was sticky brakes.

If a tractor sits without being used pivot joints get sticky, more so in the winter where moisture forms ice and rust from (possibly salty) melted snow can further aggravate the problem.

I suspect your brakes were hanging just slightly.

Lube up all the exposed linkage as best you can and get it free and working smoothly.

I just bought a Bolens Diesel H1502 Hydro with 662 hours on it with a Mitsubishi 3 cylinder in it . It sat for 2 years because it was hard to start . He told me he used starting fluid to start it . Once it is warm it starts right up without either . I replaced the glow plugs , flushed out the fuel tank , replaced fuel supply lines . But that did not fix the hard starting . I think it is dropping the fuel from the system but not sure ... Has anyone had this problem or know how I can fix it let me know ? I would hate to waste the 150 I paid for it with all the 3 point attachments . Thanks , Dean .

I am desperately seeking a steering shaft for my P21. It attaches to the steering box, has 2 universal joints and runs up past the radiator to connect to another shaft that runs past the starter motor.It is common to all P19 / P21 2&4WD with manual steering. The Shibaura part number is 33410-0090. If anyone know where I might get one, i would really appreciate your assistance.<br>

No tooth bar. The loader bucket is not made for digging nor for getting leverage or "bite". What is made for you ask. Strictly for moving loose material. I have seen too many that are "smiling" after just a few hours use--even after I warned them--on new machines. And these guys were former equipment operators and or farmers who admittedly knew better. Even if the bucket could withstand it, the grapple (not thumb--thumbs are for backhoes and excavators on the dipper stick), you are defeating the purpose--the bucket cutting edge---tipped forward or sitting flat needs to be at or just below the debris pile. And preferably, while tilting the bucket forward simultaneously you're closing the grapple which needs to be just slightly above or just resting on the cutting edge. This way you're getting the full benefit of the grapple scraping action.

If it comes back from the shop looking like a snaggle- tooth tiger, that is not good. Like I said before, you should be able to pinch and hold a piece of sheet metal with it.

Make sure whomever welds the grapple on it doesn't make it so that when the grapple is closed that it forces the the cutting edge down more than say 1/4". It will flex back.
