We have a Kubota L3600 and it's owner's manual. We cannot find information on it's instrument panel that will tell us why a red warning light is on.<br>
We would appreciate any information!<br>

First of all this is an air cooled engine so there can't be a water leak... If You have some skills You could remove oil pan to inspect crankshaft,piston rod and oil pump.if all parts are fine remove the engine head to see if valves ain't broken.It's pretty simple two bolts on valve cover and 4 bolts on head.

I have a L2900DT-GST (4wd) and while plowing snow a couple of weeks ago I noticed hydraulic fluid dripping from the bottom of engine, front drive shaft cover and clutch housing drain port (split pin?). The only symptoms were the power steering seemed sloppy. I parked the tractor and put a pan under it to catch the hydraulic fluid. At least 3 gal of fluid was in the pan before stopped dripping.<br>
I've added more fluid but it keeps just dripping out.<br>
I have also tried to locate the leak but can't find its source. I've looked at the power steering lines and they are not the source. <br>
As I have already said, the hydro fluid is leaking from the split pin, the engine oil pan and the front drive shaft cover.<br>
Where else should I be looking? Is it possible for the hydraulic fluid to leak from inside the clutch housing?<br>
If anyone has an idea what is wrong and knows the fix please post details.<br>
Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br>

Fuel filter is new is only 4 hours on it. It helped the bogging down when I changed but but did not eliminate it completely. Now it is losing prime. I have to pump the priming lever in order to get it to fire. Once it is running it is fine except for road gear. Then it tends to bog down some. Not to the point of stalling like it did before. While working at full throttle it runs great, just when I transit to a new location doeing it bog.

The tread of the tire is only a very small amount of the overall formula that determines traction.

IMHO heavy lug tires mean nothing if they're so wide or the machine they're on is so light they float on top of the snow instead of biting down through it.

We used to plow snow commercially with tractors equipped with turf tires and no chains.

I think the biggest bang for your buck is going to be ATV chains, but be careful, I doubt those Gator rear axles are going to last very long if they can't slip some and you lock the diff's up.

I need to remove the float bowl on my 88 /2.4 liter engine.A mid range flat spot in power curve leads me to beleave I have a jetting obstruction,(truck sat unused for two years).Carburetor idles well and accellerates correctly at WOT,but has massive flat spot during normal driving.Can the float bowl be removed without pulling the unit from the manifold? I just bought a Shibaura SL1643D 4x4 tractor, and was wondering if I can get a service manual for it. It was built in the mid-80's and works OK. I found small problems
with it, when I bought it, and fixed most of them.
I need to get the oil changes and buy an oil filter.
Does anyone know how much oil it takes and what
cross number oil filter I should buy. It has a Shibaura oil filter on it now, and the oil is jet black, is this normal?? Any help with the diesel machine would help... Thanks in advance..Nick

When we changed our over to a delco alt. we had the same issues , ours was 24 volt start and 12 volt sysytem everywhere else , it also has a relay which kills every thing except the starter when cranking for max power , we used a low pressure oil pressure switch to do the same as the old genrator did ,nothing in the cab is live until there is oil pressure. They are wired a little differnt but not bad once you get on to them .

You CAN assume that, but in my experience replacing 4 switches in 400 hours--that's not the issue. It goes much deeper. So join the club. I haven't figgered it out with 870 on the clock.

Have you checked the connectors on the left side rear wheel well near the bottom? Sometimes that disconnects the operator presence safety system. Other than electrical gremlins that beset these machines I'm pleased with mine.

I also just bought MF 245, guy I bought it from had 3pt forklift installed but wasn't working. Anyway I have two remotes underneath seat and seems working just fine but 3pt hitch is not at all. I have tried to pull draft lever all the way up and move position lever back n forth but no luck yet! I can push 3pt hitch linkage up and down manually with hand. although when draft & position lever is all the way up I can't use any of hydraulic remotes. even if I try to move hydraulic remote lever it makes noise and seems like internal pressure push's it back to neutral.

Please advise??

If you're not happy with the dealer you got your car from, you just drive elsewhere for parts/service. Not that easy with a tractor. You are so much more dependent on the dealer that this can be more important than the brand.

Sounds like a uptown project. PEX is a real PITA to work with. I still do not like the champ system but I have to admit they are used in lots of applications.

Me I like PVC it is very forgiving easy to use easy to fix and flexiable enough to bend around stuff and very forgiving to mistakes.

I admire professional copper installations. But I LOVE the cost and ease of my aborations of PVC plumbing.

Well, I think there are two roll pin locations; one on either end of the cable. If they're both ok, it may be the shift lump inside the mid-connect box. To check that, you'll have to remove the cover plate. The shift lump location is should be right where the linkage rod goes through the housing. I guess it must be a cast part, cuz there have been several reports of them breaking apart. If that's the case, you'll have metal in the bottom of the case that must be removed too.

I've heard of ignition modules going bad many different ways. Being doggy on hills is one of them. The modules take care of the advance in the timing also, so that could be it. I don't want to be the one who says for sure because it's 350.00 and you can't take it back. It would be nice if you could borrow a module from an HPX friend and try it. They don't have to be bolted in, you could just let it hang on the plug to try it. I'm pretty sure the HPX modules are all the same. They are behind the passenger side of the motor down low.
