Just saw a report on national TV that drywall made in China and used in the south mainly in Florida right after the past few hurricanes is outgassing sulfur compounds. This is causing oxidation to occur on anything metallic like wiring, electronic/electrical contacts, AC lines, plumbing, etc.. It is also making many sick. <br>

Anyone used this product? And if so, are the claims against it true? How did you get rid of it?<br>

(In my area of southernmost SE Michigan we have a similar situation with our well water. We call it the "black plague". The source of ours is bit different in that it's the bacteria poop making the gas/smell. But the results are the same. 7% peroxide is injected in the water supply is used to sanitize the water.)

Never heard of the F series until a few years ago, and then in was in the context of nobody knowing anything about or having anything for them. But a lot seem to have been brought in recently, and when that happens, dealers access parts and even get the manuals translated. So ask one of the dealers (Len Shafer, Gary Jameson, Aaron at Hoye Tractor, etc.) what they have or expect to have for various F's.

As I posted in another thread several months ago.....

"I also have a P21F. It is very similar the the Ford/New Holland 1320 - 1520 - 1720 series (which were built by Shibaura), but with a slightly different combination of components than any one of the Fords. Most of the operating controls are the same if you get a 1520 operators manual. The electronic control computer for the 3 pt lift and aux. (tilt) hydraulics are unique to the Shibauras. There are some photos with translated labels of an different model Shibaura on (I think) the yahoo gray market tractor club. They were helpful in figuring out how mine work."

I haven't been on here for a while, my problem was caused when a previous owner didn't lock the mower pto shaft on the mid mount and it can off and put a small dent next to the pressure relief valves, hardly noticeable until we took the transmission out. The small dent turned into a crack inside the housing where the relief valves were. I had to replace the transmission.

just bought a used gator and took it for a spin around the farm, went up a steep hill and the transmission popped like a chain skipping a tooth. It was in 2wd mode. Also, didn't have enough power to get up the hill, a hill I routinely climb with a Kubota RTV. The belt sort of pinched itself up in the transmission pulley robbing the power by working against itself. I could back up and it would resume the climb after the belt repositioned itself. Any Thoughts???

Eric, I too would like a copy of the Japanese translations;, even though my tractor model is P21F. Maybe, just maybe I can use it.

This shaft is actually manufactured with a groove or "scoring" at the point where it enters the transmission case, so it is ready-made to fail at that point first. Not very thoughtful of the engineer who designed this part that is linked to a long lever (the shifter).
I may try to drill and tap the end of the shaft, then pin the shaft together with the part that remains attached to the shifter rod. I will either fashion a "keyway" in one side with a "key" to keep the tapped pin from rotating and backing out, or drill another hole in the edge of the shaft and insert a roll pin into the mated ends to accomplish the same thing. Although this sounds a bit involved, I think removing the left rear wheel for access and drilling some holes in what would otherwise be trash is at least worth the try.
The alternative is the 12 hr estimated repair job by the local dealer.
I also mostly use 'B' range, so I am glad it broke while in that selection. The dealer did not feel there was any risk of operating the tractor this way.

Unless that tractor is substantially different from others, the bearings run in the same stuff the transmission and differential run in.

Generically known as (and usually called) "TDH" Transmission, Differential, Hydraulic fluid.

There should be just one reservoir, the transmission / differential unit itself.
