I have a mini backhoe on the back of my Kabuta .. not sure if it's Kubota aor another brand. My problem is the control linkage. I have one lever that is suppose to control boom up and down and sifde and side and the other controls bucket curl and forarm motion (not sure what the terms are. The four vales are conected with 4 car connection ends .. not working very good .. if anyone has a similar set up I would love a photo and or advice
thanks
steve

Steve, maybe you can explain what you mean a little better, I don't have any clue what a "car connection ends" might be.
What is "not working very good" about them?
Generally the hydraulics are either screwed together or use standard quick disconnect fittings.
Best of luck. ....

I know .. not a good description!!ok .. as I sit in the seat there are two levers that control the bucket ... each lever / handle runs two valves .. the linkage from the lever to the two vlaves are via small .. ah .. tie rod ends. Wish i had a pic so I could post .. anyway looking to see how these linkages are suppose to be!

If some terminology might help, the standard hoe is, like your arm, in three sections: boom, dipper, bucket. The first two raise and lower, the bucket curls and dumps. And the assembly swings left/right. ....

When you say it's not working very good, could you describe what it is or is not doing? If it's jerky, sometimes the controls are very sensitive and the operator needs to develop a feel for them. If that's the case, feathering the controls lightly will smooth out the operation.

Thanks for the names .. I knew dipper too .. just not at the moment! Anyway .. my control has nothing to do with the valves... if I had four levers I would be fine .. then the linkage from each lever to the two valeves .. the handle spins so when I pull stright back that should lift the boom it swings to the side. Unless you had this typle of connection its hard to imagain. can I post photos here? ....

Ok, now I'm getting the picture, it's still a little fuzzy in that I can't figure out what could be 'spinning' that would change the direction of the controls.
I do know the parts you are speaking about as far as the push rods that actuate the valves when you move the levers, they have a tiny flex joint much like an automotive ball joint to allow a fluid motion in a wide variety of directions.
I suspect the 4 way levers are fixed by a (or a pair of) nuts around a threaded sleeve. It appears one has come loose. Have a look at where the lever mounts to the B/H and see (maybe under the rubber dust boot?) if a lock nut has come loose.
Best of luck. ....

I've had this happen on my woods 750. A little cam slipped on the level and all the sudden the dipper was moving in to opposite directions. Check out the Woods site, they have all of the diagrams posted in a PDF. The lever set-up may be close to yours. My problem was a loose locknut on the bottom of the lever. ....
