"Engine" is the preferred term in engineering (note the similarity). Its root (the Latin gignere, to produce) gives rise to many terms, from the gin (as in cotton gin) to ingenuity.

"Motor" is more colloquial, as in General Motors, Al's Motors, and the plant down the street from me, TMMC (Toyota Motors Manufacturing Company).

So it depends on whether you're writing a technical paper or asking a buddy what's under the hood.

Now don't get me started on "tractor."

I have agonized over this for several weeks. I have voted Republican staight down the line for over 30 years and NEVER missed voting in an election.

Results?.......our nation is flooded with nearly 30 million crimal aliens, ridiculous high taxes, ridiculous draconian gun control, a GESTAPO like federal government growing like a cancerous tumor show casing the Dept. of Homeland Security, a police state rife with corruption and misconduct unmatched in US history.

The Republican Party with the exception of ONE man is dead. The ONE TRUE Republican left is Ron Paul and the socialist NEOCONS running the Republican party drown him out.

Is Obama a LOT worse???? You bet he is. The 2 party system has dished out to us a Marxist in Obama and a socialist in McCain.

It is just NOT in me to hold my nose and vote Republican again. My consciense and character just cannot stomach this. Voting for the lesser of 2 evils is STILL evil. Obama will take this nation straight to hell.......and McCain will get us there a little slower.

Ron Paul was my guy for president. Dr. Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin. Baldwin stands about the same chance of success as a sparrow fart in an typhoon. Chuck Baldwin got my vote. I threw my vote away you say??????? No.......voting for a candidate you loathe and have almost nothing in common with is throwing your vote away.

Until "WE" as a nation take responsibility for our actions and vote in that sense instead of the standard party line.........we will continue to get more of the SAME.

I fear the great experiment in liberty and freedom is over and dead. In any case get out there and vote. If you don't like Baldwin, Bob Barr is running on the Libertarian ticket.

If you ever thought you might want to by some ammunition or a gun......better by it now while you can.

The two important points in there for me are, a) as a rule of thumb the 3pth is usually a LOT stronger than the FEL in terms of lift, and b) any load being carried on the 3pth is going to be a LOT steadier than the same load on the FEL while you are moving.

It is one thing to lift something with the FEL, but it is a whole different beast when it comes to driving around carrying it.

The other factor that enters into this equation is my favourite pet peeve, that is 'facts' or 'specifications' given in (to put it politely) a rather 'optimistic' manner.

The weight a typical FEL is 'rated' to lift is often given at either the wrist pins themselves, or close to it. A bulky object like a round bale will have it's weight centered about 2' or 3' further out, this will dramatically reduce the amount the FEL can lift.

I repaired the tractor wiring and the clutch. Kubota had the drawing for the clutch that I got with a bit of persistance. I am not a farmer nor I have deep knowledge about farming machinary (despite interest in farming). I am an electronic engineer but usually can work my way around many mechanical tasks like successfully.

I searched the web and I got a posting from this discussion board from 1999 about RV90. I have so far learnt that this tractor has custom attachment. As it has a grader blade and a tiller, to buy something that has these attachments and is newer cost plenty of money. So I decided to use it and I need to use it now after a few years of dusting. I hope this clarifies the issue.

I'd like to get a second set of front rims (6x12) for my CC 7205 MFD. I just put new rubber on the front and would like to use the old tires as quick-swap spares when I have a flat (unfortunately a not infrequent occurence with some of the thorns on the property).<br>

My local ag tire shop says they could get a 6x12 rim for me, but that the bolt pattern would not match the CC. My CC parts manual doesn't even list a part number for the rims, and the local CC dealer is not interested in helping a little guy like me.<br>

I've tried Google and eBay without success, so I'm hoping that someone has been through this before.<br>

I'm new to this site and was looking for information. Could you guy's give me your opinions about differences between the two models and is it worth the $2400. Having never used any 3 pt. hitch implements I have no idea how a 1/4 inching valve and a position control valve differ. I presently own a 1983 Ford 1700 with a Bradco backhoe/loader. Will the Kubota setup be as powerful(digging and lifting) as my Ford? Does anyone have an idea of what I should ask for my machine or where I could go to find out? Thanks in advance for any help.

hi- i have a kubota 4330-43 hp hydo and i borrowed the farmi this weekend-a real time saver-alittle under power but this model is rated for the smaller tractor-i would suggest u dig alittle deeper on the 30 hp model there alittle under power and if you want a bigger loader you cant put it on that model-but there still a awesome machine just alittle small for a good size log or two- go orange there the best

I did mention by liking to diesels ,but lets face it ,the manufactures are not going to allow them selves to put out of business with 1,000,000 mile life span cars or cars that get 100 mpg or stainless steel/composite vehicle's that will never rust out. There is no money in it for them, it would kill millions of jobs linked to the already collapsing auto industry from just foreign markets, I guess what comes around goes around, wouldn't MR. Tucker and a few other pioneering people love to see the big 3 demise ..... Pay back is a B_____ . MY feelings only, the only way were are going to see 100 mpg cars is a socialistic move by the government and that will never happen in the USA due to our capitalistic economy.
