If you'll be driving on a finished lawn being light is an advantage. Some brands insist on loading the tires when a loader is installed. That is probably due to liability issues more than anything else - that way if you don't follow their recommendations and get hurt they can say it was your fault. Weight is weight but you do want to be sure the machine is always ballasted correctly.

I believe I am going to attempt this oil seal replacement myself (if I can get the crossbar and stumpjumper off). I will likely replace the oil seal and the bearings (just to be sure).

How can I tell if the blades and stump jumper are in proper balance? I do know (that during operation) the deck shakes very slightly but not much. I considered that normal. I assume that buying new blades would ensure proper balance, unless the stump jumper has some deformity to it.

I have the above tractor which I purchased second hand last year. It now needs to be serviced and the instruction book I received pages 62 and 63 were stuck together. I need the fuild capacities for oil, transmission fuild, how to service hydraulic system, etc. Can any one help me

With the HP Greg says it has, you would be very limited on bush hog or tiller. You probably would also be better off to find a tractor with a front end loader (FEL) than buying a used tractor and then having to buy a NEW loader for it. Finding a used one to fit probably would be hard. kt

If I'm not mistaken, you're limited to about 14 horsepower at the PTO shaft. This will be the determining factor when selecting your implements.

If you have 4-wheel drive, that will help you a whole lot.

Figure about 3 horsepower needed for every foot of tiller. This will limit you to a tiller no larger than about 36 inches. If you don't have a creeper gear, you might want to go with a tiller no bigger than about 30 inches.

You should have no problem powering any 48" mower, though you may want to select a lower traveling gear when mowing taller brush and undergrowth.

The B7200 is now nearly 20 years old. However, there is a complete line of parts available for it, to include new body parts. A new hood will cost you 1500 dollars, but you can still get one.

It might help if you could tell us what you plan to do with your tractor. There are many people on this board who can offer you hundreds of tips.

Cub Cadet Yanmar's Finances are very strong! Sales have been much better than the company ever imagined. Their Choice of GE Money Bank for their Customer Retail Financing is another story. They have had a higher decline ratio than expected. Most of the time it can be rectified by calling GE or Cub Cadet Yanmar. It has gotten much better but I do believe Cub Cadet Yanmar is looking at other options for their customer financing program. GE Money Bank is improving.

You have 2 options here, if the current one is damaged beyond repair.

1st locate a used one and swap especially if you want or need to keep the tractor original.

2nd get a after market dry air cleaner assembly self contained and mount it put the hoses on you need to make the connections.

It's entirely possible that the model year is posted incorrectly. Until the error is corrected, if needed, I would overlook that old (new?) tractor entirely.

This is a little late, but, the situation is that the pump can't be taken appart without possibly distroying it. I know why it's leaking but it requires a special factory 5 POINT SOCKET.

Honda does not have any pumps to sell. Only chance is to get one off another 6522.

Any leeds?

I have had a jd 2305 for 2.5 years and found it to be
an excellent machine. It will do a lot more than it's size
implies. I've dug stumps,rocks and spread many truckloads
of gravel. In the winter I've plowed and piled tons of snow and ripped large sheets of ice. We had over 150" of
snow this last winter and starting was no problem @-20F.
(Ihave a 200cx loader) Don't know much about the New holland.

I went to New Holland's website again this afternoon, looking for the Model 2130 compact tractor.

No such animal......though there is one sitting on my dealer's lot. It's a 4x4, with cab, loader, rear remote hydraulics, extending lower 3-point arms, industrial tires, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel and everything (looks to be about 45 horsepower).......except a single mention of it on their website.

all gst trans will move when parked and motor off---you need to set the parking brake and chock the wheels especially if you're on any kind of an incline. mine scares me to death sometimes when on a hill and wanting to get off and open a gate. don't ever think it will stay still just because it's in a gear!!!!! I know one of these times the parking brake is gonna fail!!! it has slipped before; probably because it wasn't applied correctly due to being in a hurry which is a big no no. and to take this a little bit farther don't ever let it coast down a hill w/o it being in gear!!! just mho. L3130GST goin on 800 hrs. w/no problems yet.

Hello Murf, thanks for the welcome. I will take the picture invitation up. You are right on the money about "unviversal" adapting. The best system I have seen so far is the Bobcat version, John Deere compact tractors have an effective system as well. The ticket is to get/make a system that fits the one supplied on the tractor side of the boom arms. I intend on keeping you in the loop as far as the brush grabber is concerned. The detail drawings are just about done and I hope to start fabrication soon. Have you been to Shackleton's Consignment Sales here in Springfield recently? I am going under the assumption that you are familiar with my part of the country.

Before jumping to any conclusions, the first thing I would do is remove the battery terminals and clean them and reinstall. Second, if the battery is the type that water can be added, I would do that and then put a slow charge on it if any cells were low on fluid. If that doesn't solve the problem, after it has been charged, I would take it to an auto parts store and have them check the battery. They will do it for free. They can tell you if you have a dead cell. Like was said, you may have low voltage resulting from a partially dead battery.

Joel and Ken you both could be totally correct. However, as the husband has passed away, it could be the tarp was placed over it by someone who did all they knew to protect the tractor such as the wife. Depending on the relationship with your neighbor it may be a losing deal for you any way it goes. In being fair to both parties, get a someone such as the dealership to go over it. kt

Chris, not a JD person but they probably use the spindle assembly on this deck on others so the bolt advice given probably is correct.

On my decks, found a block of wood good to hold the blade but a good impact wrench normally takes that need away. It would of course be dangerous to have the blades rotating while working there even if from impact wrench. On my decks I find if you snug the bolts, the blades will tightern them further. kt
