I am interested in buying a small tractor for lawn mowing and light work. I am looking at the JD2305 and I have also looked at the New Holland TZ25DA. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of these 2 models. Thanks,

Hi Bzech
I have had a jd 2305 for 2.5 years and found it to be
an excellent machine. It will do a lot more than it's size
implies. I've dug stumps, rocks and spread many truckloads
of gravel. In the winter I've plowed and piled tons of snow and ripped large sheets of ice. We had over 150" of
snow this last winter and starting was no problem @-20F.
(Ihave a 200cx loader) Don't know much about the New holland. ....

Articat, Thanks for the response. I have made the decision to buy a JD2305 and now I am trying to find the best deal among the 4 or 5 dealers that are in my area. I have been somewhat surprised by the variations in the quoted prices. The package I want includes a 62-inch mid-mount mower and a 200CX loader. I have gotten quotes from just over $15,000 to $13,250. I am now trying to be sure that everyone is quoting on the same features. If so some of these dealers are really making a huge profit. Nevertheless thanks again I am glad to see that you are happy with your JD2305. ....

Could be correct. Could be difference in price to dealership due to size of dealership. Could be age of it being pruchased before a price increase or such. Could be option differences. Some may not be easy to spot. kt ....

Bcaech: Good choice. I purchased a 2305 with 62C MMM, CX-200 FEL and ballast box about a year ago. I have two acres to mow and am very pleased with the 2305. Be sure and order the ballast box and front work lights.

Hope you enjoy you new machine.
