Don't just send a bill to the county, get on the phone or in person with your elected rep, as the contractor may not be there long. His lack of action to you should be noted as it may be a pattern with others. The county should be able to influence contractors to do the right thing.

A quick look at ebay may also help you. If I thought I would be selling so quick resale value is my first concern, why buy new? You might might be able to hire the work for the loss you expect or find used to begin with.

There are lot of Kubotas in my area, the larger they get, the less there are by far.

Either way you cut it, you lost all of yours. I'm sorry. Guess going in circles, well not really circles on a gasser with no splines does affect normal people.

Glad I am able to bring a little light to your life. Realize you are missing the clear sunny sky with high humidity. Withdrawal pains no doubt.

(funny thing, spell check in Word does not recognize �spline� and it�s first suggestion is spine. Just when you thought you could trust spell check, it must be a gasser also)

I normally add oil to it before connecting the lines. A little heavier oil is perfered but the hydraulic fluid will work.

ah-hem, ah-hem---back to the subject at hand...

I have a skid steer that has the computerized seat and seat belt interlock---the kind that requires certain steps to be taken or switches be closed or depressed in a certain manner to run.

One of the two seat switches' wire broke off. Long story short... I installed a hidden toggle switch in place of the seat switch. Killed two birds with one stone: I have a hidden ignition kill switch, and when I feel safety-minded a seat interlock.

That said, if your system is computerized like mine you can install a switch somewhere in parallel with the seat switch leaving the seat switch active when needed providing the new switch is open. Then, start and run as usual, before you leave the seat flick the switch and it should stay running as if you were there. And if it's like mine, in order to restart, you have to flick the new switch open then closed.

To carry this one step further, lengthen the new switch wires to a convenient place on/in the house for a remote emergency shut down.

I have had some gators over the years, and though overall I am happy, they seem kind of flimsy (at least the newer models.) Any idea how a Toolcat would compare? Were you happy with the Toolcat? What did you pay? Would you buy another one?

Rlsmith....Wow...Amazing that you still haven't heard anything on your bx tractor Hydro problem yet it is on the 3rd week by now and getting close to a month without a tractor. Did they offer you a loaner yet? Really doesn't say much for your dealer. Hope it all works out for you.

I'm not exactly and expert on those Greene machines, but on some tractors if you crank the 3pth lock/speed adjustment knob under the seat all the way closed it will neither go up or down.

buy a Yamaha Grizzly 700 or 660. Reliable and fast, IRS, locking diff., easy steering, powerfull.
Honda only makes a slip differential, Ok for farmers, useless for atving/ mudding.

After alot of elimination by trial and error I removed the water pump to find the impeller loose on the shaft. It did turn to a certain degree but not enought to cool the engine sufficiently under light loads. The Kubota dealer in my area told me that this is not a common problem but he has seen it before where the keyway works loose.

Thanks boys - I'm caught betweena rock and a hard place (no pun intended) the bigger I go (B series - my brother has one and tells me I definetly need a B7610 or I'm a loser!)the less user friendly the machine is for the family and less of a lawnmower (primary job at this point). I'm thinking to go with the 2350 use it well for five years or so get the back lot under control and then upgrade to a B series and just get a riding lawnmower for the front yard of course I need a garage as well at some point. The other problem is storage THe BX will fit in the shed (no loader and barely) I can keep the loader out back under a tarp for now. You guys think the BX will hold a reasionable value?

I will have to, and I will, find a solution. And if the solution is a smaller wooded building on 4x6, or I'll rent a backhoe and do it right or a metal box you suggested,I am on my own , since a local help is out of picture.
I def. underestimated a foundation part of my project.

If the starter is still clicking but not cranking, try tightening up every connection between the battery and the starter. (It's free) Get the negitive side too. My brother had an old 1966 Beamer do that out in California, had to drive it to Colorado without shutting the engine off, and then when we got home, a friend said "check this out". One crank with a cresant wrench and we were back in bussiness.
