OKAY I'll try this one more time.

My next door neighbor has a 301A. He puts the FNR (Foward, nutural, reverse) selector switch in foward, works for a while and it will not work in reverse. Later when he gets it in reverse and works awhile then he wont have foward. Now it is reverse only. Linkage is working and shifting as normal. Fluids are good. Come on someone has an idea we can try.

Whatever you do, do not put them on top of the FEL. That is how I carried garden tools. The fiberglass handle on the shovel slipped behind the bucket. When I brought the FEL up the handle caught between the bucket and Hyd. fitting. It crushed the handle. It only loosen the fitting. If the handle had have been wood it would have broken the fitting clean off.<br>

I have been thinking of putting a rack for garden tools from the ROP top to the fender. Clamped they should do just fine. This will make the tractor over all height greater. Just have to watch out for head room.<br>

For a rice rocket you might look at the nissan sentra. With the stick shift 40mph with the auto is right at 35mph. It is a good small car with good holding power. Used they should be the same price as a US model.

My mid size Kubota (M6800) with manual trans is torn down in tractor shop with broken grear in tranmission. A tooth broke off of a gear. Made a loud knocking noise in transmission.<br>

WHen I asked mechanic what would cause this he gave me some options...now fitted what I was doing. I had been operating tractor for several hours disking in clear fields and no shock loads. <br>

Any ideas what could have caused such. Yes tractor has had shock loads over the 511 hours on it of pulling stumps with and getting out of bogs but not in last 100 or more hours.<br>

You may want to look at some of the racing parts outlets. For racing, a good tire gage is important. I used them when I was tire engineer for a team. I miss those good gages.

As far as I know' the 42xx-47xx types go by the same servicing.

Unless you don't mind paying the extra $30 to $40 a 5 gallon pail; I would use Shell Donax or the Walmart Tractor/Hydraulic fluid. Shell makes the Tractor/Hydraulic fluid for Walmart and I strongly suspect it is the same stuff packed with different market labeling. Shell Donax is good fluid. The loggers I know use it in all of their John Deere log skidders and equipment. It is half the price of Hygard and the Walmart fluid is about 25% less than the Shell fluid. ALL of these fluids meet and exceed John Deere's specs. Let the oil barage begin!!!!! ;O) Just kiddin'. ;O)

Since you say you've already checked all the safety switches, hopefully with a meter and not just visually, start looking for a blown fuse or bad circuit breaker if so equipped.

You can usually check the starter relay easily, they usually print the schematic on the case.

If you still can't find it start checking for power at each connector in the circuit back to source from the starter till you get to 12 volts, then you will at least have narrowed the problem to a specific area.

My TC21 is doing exactly the same thing, except it doen't clunk it either gets a full 12vdc and starts or 0vdc and nothing happens. If I jumper 12vdc to the starter solonid it starts EVERY time. I'm waiting for a wiring diagram to get deeper into the diagnostics, meanwhile it is being started with a remote switch. It appears to me to be a faulty starter relay, which I'll try next. I'll let you know if / when I get it figured out.

The bio fuel will jell at a much higher temp than no 2 fuel. However, in my climate this has not been a problem.

I recently put lights on my 4710. I mounted the lights to the top of the ROP. I initially tried mounting them on the underside of the top of the ROP but found the angle of the ROP did not allow for enough adjustment of the light. With the 2 rectangulat flood lights up to plus the original headlights, loader work, infact any work out front of the unit is a breeze. I may add one more round light facing rearward to make backing and use of the back blade easier.

I'm considering purchasing a 3point hitch DR wood chipper. Have a 3000 ford tractor (approx. 45 hp). I need some information (advice) on this chipper if possible: durability, length of time used before blade needs sharpening etc. Chipper can be purchased for approx.<br>
$1900. Is this chipper a quality machine? It would not be used excessively but when needed I would want good results.<br>
I would appreciate some help on this if possible.<br>

EW, I was trying to use simple plain language, by 'tongue' I meant the distance from the coupler to the centerline of the suspension. If you look at two equal length trailers side-by-side, one for a boat, one for a car, you will see that the suspension is much farther back on the boat trailer, nearly at the back in fact.

Most boat trailers don't have a tongue by the conventional way of thinking. The frame merely converges to a coupler. If you look at most boat trailers from a purely design perspective, they don't have anywhere near as much "tongue" as a regular trailer since the forward tip of the boat is actually really close to the coupler. Some of the larger boat trailers have a telescopic tongue feature that allows you add as much as 10' to a trailer to aid in launching.

Dude, you made mention of the loader valve "not" being functionable on a Kubota? Could you explain? The subframe on a BH 75 does not cut the ground clearance like other make hoes are with a frame that runs under the tractor. Many units set up with a frame under the tractor don't offer anymore subframe clearance then a subcompact!

Check your 4WD solenoid under the tractor under the operator's station area to see if any of the wires have snagged on brush or other obstacles. They are notorious for becoming snagged in heavy brush. Are you getting any malfunction codes?

It is a 2 stage clutch like my MF65. You need to depress a long way to disengage the PTO.
