It sounds like there must be a dead short in the solenoid that pulls the link out for 2 wheel drive. I am not sure where the solenoid is but you should be able to test for its resistance and short to the main ground.

I use a new 60 gallon schoolbus fuel tank for fuel transfer/storage on my trailer. I bought and installed a fuel hand-pump and a filter system with a spin-on filter and base (no separator) from Tractor Supply Co. for about $125 for the whole works.

As far as fittings go, it's hard to say without knowing any details on your tank---if you don't know what size fittings you have, you might want to visit a good plumbing supply shop and buy some pipe and fittings that will be the right size. Don't use galvanized pipe or fittings as the coating is known for flaking off inside and outside the pipe and fittings.

Hi guys,

We do have a private message feature on the board so that you can have these kinds of exchanges without the audience.

Clearly some of it is entertaining and to some extent enlightening. But a point does come where no ones interest is served.

Wing you need to go to the myProfile menu item and enable Private Messages so you can get these exchanges between only the parties that are interested in it. Murf has the feature turned on.

I saw one in an online photo archive dating back to the 18th century. Basically it was a steel collar that slipped over the stump, this acted as bearing. The collar was bolted to the end of a timber about 10 feet long. On the timber near the stump sat an adjustable cutting edge/hook resembling a 3-pt middle buster. The other end of the timber was attached to a draft horse(s). The horses were led around in a circle. As the cutter/hook dug into the spoil it would eventually get caught on a stump root and thusly unscrew the stump from the ground.

I have another tool for digging stumps which is very effective: skid steer with pallet forks. I've dug oak trees with 4 foot diameter root balls in solid clay and southern pines in Miss. with 6 foot long tap roots. It takes a big and strong skid steer.

I sat on one the other day and it did seem a little crammed. The 990 was much more open. I will look at a couple different models.

Any thoughts on the 3203. Which I was told was the equilvant to the 790.

Still trying to find some rough estimates
on the 990 and I guess a 3203.

My next door neighbor has a 301A. He puts the FNR (Foward, nutural, reverse) selector switch in foward, works for a while and it will not work in reverse. Later when he gets it in reverse and works awhile then he wont have foward. Now it is reverse only. Linkage is working and shifting as normal. Fluids are good.

the simple part would be linkage, that should be easily enough to see and do a visual on. Otherwise I will let the tranny experts jump in from here.
If it is paked on an incline, try giving it a little push towards the uphill direction and then try to shift it again, could be just pressure holding it in place.

Very first time mowing with my 2210, I was watching side clearance of the mower deck around a tree when I unexpectedly did a wheelie! The tree was leaning just enough to catch the rop. Left blinker broke apart pretty good.

Just when I thought the clutch was fully depressed, I gave it a little more ooomph, and it allowed me to engage the pto.

The official response I got from NH is that anything up to B20 is ok in the utility tractors and B5 for the ag tractors. I know people that are burning B50 to B100 without any trouble, but as NW will warrant only up to B20, I am sticking with this.

Google "turf tires" or go to gemplers.com for some ballpark prices. The sizes are on the Kubota link.

I would guess about $35-$50 per tire based on 2 ply turfs.

I just got some much bigger 4 ply turfs for the front end of my Deere yesterday and they about $70 each.

I have had one for about a month. I installed it myself in less than 9 hours. I had never used a backhoe before, and when I first started out,I was afraid that I had wasted my money. But after some practice, things went better and the backhoe became much stronger. I have grubbed every stump that I can find and last week dug the footers for a new garage. I removed many rocks, some twice as large as the 12" bucket. Now, I love it.

My idea, and I certainly don't have the experience of some of the other folks who gave given me good tips, is pretty much to always wear the seatbelt except when mowing slowly along fences, etc. so I can twist around and not let the rear finishing mower hit the fence pole.

I have seen these units on eBay for a while now myself. I was curious - called one of the sellers, and checked them out in person. I later saw one at an auction - both brand new, and VERY well built. I most definitely thought if I was going to get another hoe, I would get one of these for my small work.

Well your guys were right. I crosses the wires at the switch and flasher presto. I took the switch out and worked it on and off with a meter on it. After a few dozen cycles it worked fine. I just took the dog for a walk and tried it and it worked great.

I can't find the spec for a 3520, but the 4120 is 2.8 pounds. I am betting they are the same. those figures only do you any good if the system is completely discharged. If it is only low on charge, you have no idea how much is in there already. If it is not working properly, I would be calling the dealer to fix it. A 3520 is certainly still in warranty. Are you sure the heater valve is closing properly? Feel your heater hoses to see if they get warm.

Since all trailers are not created equally, or even marketed and sold equally, my suggestion is visit a few local dealers and size up what they have---unless you have unlimited time and resources travelling the nation for a trailer.
