I'd like to have that Volkswagen 10 cylinder turbo-diesel. 313hp and 560 ft/lbs out of 5 liters. Only seems logical that it should get better fuel ecomony that this ~6 liter bunch we've got to choose from now.

I find the JD 955 to be more stable with the FEL removed on side slopes. I could not easily remove the FEL from my 750.

Mine blew out too, the guy at the parts store gave me a ford hose and I cut it to fit been great every sence. I think it was a 3/4" if menory serves me correct.

I belive The nortrac is the same as a jinma. I have a farm pro 25hp 4wd (jinma) I had to take the entire bracket off that holds the fuel filter and put it in a vice to get the filter off. When you do this tie the fuel lines up so they wont drain out. Re-install the bracket, fill the filter up with fuel and screw it back on and connect the lines. This way you should not have to bleed the fuel lines. I did not fill the filter up and it would not crank, put fuel in the filter cranked right up. Those chinese must put them on with a torque wrench. I have the cross ref. numbers for all the filters for the 25hp tractor. My tractor has a filter screen under the filler cap. Wal-Mart has additives for deisel. I have tried Sea Foam and I like it. If you search the post for Fuel Additives all that info is there.

WW, You don't need to apply calculus to make a counterweight judgement. If you put a 1000 lb load on the FEL bucket and the bucket is 10 feet ahead of the center of gravity then you need the same amount of weight 10 feet behind the initial COG to bring it back to the original position.

I for one am very pleased with the current format of topics. I find the current ones show at the top of the list and the list is much more complete than the way it was.

The one thing you mentioned that amazes me it took me about 7 years to find this site. Boy what I was missing.

Mark is right, there is a HUGE difference between oil & hydraulic fliters.

They just happen to look a lot alike from the outside.

Risks include the minor stuff like cavitation, up to big stuff like pump or other components failing.

All in all, it's really not a good idea.

That's a loaded question.

How far outboard will it be? Is it for flat land, or slopes? Does the mower have an outboard wheel to suport some of its weight?

Forget the truck for a moment, right now I am not firing on all cylinders - I am suffering of late (really in pain) as I find myself in and out of dental offices with emergency surguries. (rather wasted on meds, and trying to figure out this heating system at the same time...lol)

Some people have little choice but to use LP. I'd recommend to anyone who as LP that they install combustible gas detectors. Ours are so sensitive that spraying a little WD-40 two rooms over sets them off.

My ATV tires still have just air in them. The terrain where I ride is more likely to produce cuts from sharp rocks......... so I am still pondering what to do about that.
