I am looking at a L2600DT, Has Kabota FEL and 4690 backhoe.<br>
Appears in good shape with 520hrs. Approx 2000-2001 Tires are fair.<br>
<br>
Firm Price is 15,000.. is this a OK, good, or great price for this unit.

I restored a '47 Farmall A and a '52 Super C. The SC is my plowing tractor in the spring, and sometimes use it for moving rocks and dirt with a box blade or carrying firewood and dragging logs; even brush hogged with it some last year. The A has no lift system (I ditched the exhaust lift set-up) so I use it to pull a trailer and occasional hauling firewood in a carryall.

My NH compact is still used for tilling, finish mowing, and running a 3ph backhoe.

Sometime in the future I plan to set up a belly mower for the A, maybe eventually get some turf tires for it.

The old tractors are fun. It really makes you appreciate live PTO and live hydraulics.

I tried a friend's 225 tires and if I remember they were to tall for the fenders. I have a new set of S10 mags and tires on it, but I can always put larger tires on and have the fenders raised. It's only money? The guy that owned it hauled a pickup truck on it with 215's on it.

When I was in the service in CT. I spent about 1.5 months working in the barracks . They had a 5 cent returned on cans and bottles ,on monday after superbowl weekend we had to remove all the trash that the guys had left in the halls for us. Being one of the only guys with a pick up I bet I made $50.00 halling cases of emptys to the redemption center. Not bad extra cash 20 years ago . I think I made some of my own emptys with the money.

I have a 2003 B7500 with 580 hours on it that I use to clear off lots that I build beach homes on. It does everything I need it to do. The current model of the B7500 would be the B7510, which would handle 10 acres with no problem. However, if you are convinced you would need a 60 inch rotary cutter, I would strongly recommend the L3400. For the price, there is probably not a better deal. Have fun!

I am interested in getting a backhoe for my B7500, and I have been comparing prices and specs between the Kubota, Woods, and Bushhog backhoes. I am leaning towards the Kubota 4672A. Which would you recommend for price and performance?

I am interested in having remote hydraulics added to my B7500 for a top and tilt kit. I know I can have one cylinder added for the top link for around $800 dollars, but does anyone know if it is possible to have both cylinders added to complete the kit?

It depends what state you are in. I would think that you need to look at our classifieds, Machinery link and the Iron search. Factor in that the prices on Machinery Link and Iron Search are dealers list, ie discount ~10%. Quickly looking I am in at 16-17K depending on the condition.

I don't know about the Edsel. It is only the horse coller grill that is bad. The final year 1960 did not look that bad. At least it is similar to the other cars of the era.<br>

Ever seen a Super C with the "Hydra Creeper"? I guess it is the same thing as a TA. That would be a good score.

I'm all for saving a bit of history by fixing up these old tractors. And they are still usable.

Boy this Jinma tractor is simple
and straightforward. Removed the
2 16mm bolts and installed the new
plate. The plate just mounts on the
side of the transmission with no way
for the center pin to fall in.
About a 5 minute job.. I guess you
do sometimes have to work on the
Jinma but it is not hard work.

A question on the adjustment of the
activation pin. I screwed it in to
make the plate installation easier.
The I backed it as far out untill it
engaged the cam. Is this enough
adjustment or should I have backed it
out further (bias) to make the travel
more?

Jarndt... without the loader and the forks hanging off the front end I could not have lifted the tractor.

And that is the point to the illustration: if you add something to the front end you must add a similar or greater counter-weight to the rear.

With the tractor in the configuration shown in the picture I lifted a 350 pound load with the forks and when I stepped off the tractor the rear end came off the ground and the load hit the deck.

I used a manual diverter valve on the bucket curl control for my ATI grapple, and it was a real PITA!!! I installed a Fasse valve set up, and boy is it sweet. It makes working the bucket and grapple much easier, as you when you switch between the two you can almost get both functions working together, bucket curl and grapple closing. Not at the same time of course. I really like the Fasse cause it has both a momentary button and a rocker switch. The kits are pricey, but IMHO worth it if you're planning on doing a lot of grapple work.

Nissan, give us something more to go by. The number you included may not be a serial number.

If you could tell us more details, or a picture, we could figure out the model and tell you where to look for the serial number. Does it have frame rails separate from the engine? What size rear tires?

If you see numbers that are part of the castings, they may be casting codes. All major castings have them, they are in the format of month-day-year, with the year code being a letter; it is the date the part was cast. For instance 1-28-X would be January 28, 1952. Some letters are skipped, but basically A=1931 (or 1958) and Z=1954.

John, why not just cut right to the chase and put the plow on the FEL itself, in place of the bucket?

See my picture # 15.

It not only gives you far better visibility, but it also gives you better control of the plow and the ability to stack much better, or even knock down piles when they get to high.
