What is a fair price for a 1999 John Deere 4600 with a 460 loader, hydro transmission, ag tires, and 250 hrs; unit is in excellent condition.

Rick, I paid $22,200 for a 4700 hydro with R-4's in 2000 and the 460 loader was $3,900. with 72" heavy duty bucket.
So I would guess that rig in excl. condition would be worth between 19,000 and 21,500. Age doesn't mean much with tractor's just hours and that is very very low hours.

It depends what state you are in. I would think that you need to look at our classifieds, Machinery link and the Iron search. Factor in that the prices on Machinery Link and Iron Search are dealers list, ie discount ~10%. Quickly looking I am in at 16-17K depending on the condition. ....

Rick, yes I have had good luck with mine, 2550 hrs now. There have been a few issues the biggest one being the three point hitch leaking down and that has just been fixed finally, but with all the tractors my dealer has sold in eastern Maine there were only two that they had seen this problem on.
