If I could only have one of them back it would have to be the Black 1960 Chevy Impala Convertible with the white rag top and the red and white interior.<br>
It was one sharp looking machine and a real mover with the 348 engine with 3 duces and a racing cam.<br>

Frank is right on the money about the weight issue, damp sand adds up the pounds FAST!

We built ours using a standard gravity bin as a design template, why try to re-invent the wheel. They are basically just an angle iron frame with steel skins, rectangular in shape, with a bottom that tapers in to a blunt, off-center point. The 'shorter' tapered side is the front, and contains the sliding door to load the sander. This should be one of the long sides of the rectangle.

You may wish to keep the bin a little wider and not as tall, for easier loading of it. The spout should be JUST high enough to load the sander with the 3PTH all the way down.

In two of the locations we have sand hoppers located we built a small ramp behind the hopper so that we can dump the material straight out of a truck and into the hopper. It is easier to make a smaller hopper and fill it more often.

Also, don't forget a lid of some form for the hopper, even if it's just an open frame that forms a pitched roof when you drape it with a tarp. Frozen sand does not like to run very well, even damp sand can ba real PITA sometimes.

OK, Art am I understanding what you are saying?
The older HST designs only had 2 speeds one for working and the other for transport. The new designs have 3 speeds, one for transport, one for slow work and the other for faster work. The number they are publishing is for the worse case senario when considerable power is being used to push the tractor in the high gear therefore the PTO HP is lower. In reality it would be the same for the slow working range?

Well I called the dealer and they said that the the NH part#87300195 replaces part#SBA340500890 and none of the old ones are available. So I ordered another one(87300195) and had it shipped since I live over an hour away. Put it in, ran for 5 minutes and pop. Same crap. These filters are junk. I called and told the dealer about it and he says its not the filter. I asked about the cold filter and he says he has a couple on order that are backorder. HMMMM. Anyway I called the next day and amazingly they came in(the cold filters and he only had 1 left). Had it shipped and now it is happy. These filters are identical to the one that came with my tractor. Hell it even says change after 50hours and then 300 on it. This filter is beefy with an o-ring instead of the flat rubber seal. I will probably still switch to the lighter oil because the 134 is like maple syrup that was stored in a freezer and that can't be good for the hst. I guess if my tractor was in heated storage I wouldn't have this trouble. Thanks again for the replies.

The reason the NEC was changed was to be certain that ground fault interrupt devices would operate properly from sub-panel circuits and to prevent poor bonding to the neutral wire which can easily create a shock hazzard in damp locations. This separates the requirements for grounding and bonding at sub-panels. Metal pipes or ground rods are bonding to the ground (not the neutral) buss in the sub-panels.

It describes the installation detailed in the first post and provides step by step details on adding the fourth (ground wire) and why the isolation must be done in existing installations.

Hey Gary, I know it has been a long time since yourpost, but I just stumbled upon it. I was wondering if your problem got resolved. It sounds like you have some blown seals in your rockshaft valve. That would require removing the entire Three point (rockshaft) housing to access the valve body. There are a couple of orings in there that tend to blow out over time that robs oil from your other functions and also causes the oil to heat up. The cost of parts is minimal but labor to get to it is the worst.

I know a person here who is awating court for being a seller like you dwelt with. He had his own over the road trucks and it seemed, he branched out into merchandise such as you got hit with and also building material. There is no victimless crime.
You also need to talk with your accountant. It may be a tax deduction for you. However, you may have to file a police report or suit to make your claim.

What a shame...very sad. As others have said, it seemed like he lived a good life, largely full of those things which brought him happiness--a good lesson for those of us still living here on earth. I didn't know him, but he and I had corresponded a few times about tractor stuff. He seemed like a very giving person. He will be missed here, and in many other places, I'm sure. I don't know of any for certain. Some Cat service companies like Finning and Kelly Tractor have part sites that you must register for I have not gone in that deep, not owning a Cat.
