The foam filled metal panels for garage doors are SIPs structures. I used them for added wind strength on my garage.
A friend build a house from this type of panels. I never went to see it, but reportedly is was very economical and strong. I am not sure how you can put siding on them?

I agree with all the post above (similarities in Case and NH, looking long term, etc., and given the dollars would consider them equal, i.e., I don't see $500 plus or minus as a deciding factor when you are spending $10,000.

I assume the price you are posting is mower deck only? You might see what the differences are if you add options as well, assuming you might want to add features later down the road.

Check the shut off solenoid on or near the injector pump. When you turn on the key, you should be able to hear and eventually see it move. Shut key off, it should move the other way. Bad solenoid, wire, relay, etc.

A number of years ago I had a 74 Jeep Cherokee with AWD. When I bought it my father said they had some in the BC Hydro and they felt so sure footed that they would bite you. You would be travelling too fast for the conditions. It did once as I put it in the snow bank at a country crossing in ice conditions.
There is something to be said to learning how to drive in adverse conditions. Most of us have made some mistakes. It would be nice if the average joe public had some desire to learn. It is not always a beautiful day even in California.

600 pounds? Probably. The problem is where some of that load sits. If it is way out at the end of the forks it could be iffy.

Evenly distributed on a pallet or concentrated close to the "elbow" of the forks would work the best.

Example: You might be able to pick up a heavy log and carry it close to the tractor but if you cut the same log in pieces and stacked it on a pallet it might not get off the ground.

I can tell you this: if you get the quick attach forks you will not be sorry.

jdc, Its good to know that the tractor board has some expertice in radio frequency engineering.:) I teach a class in hands-on MRI and today we just happen to be building simple RF receive only coils for the scanner. They'll have to lay out the copper tape in a license plate sized rectangle, and tune them with the proper capacitors to 63.8 MHz. Then they build a blocking network so they don't burn up when they're subjected to the main RF pulses. About half of them have some soldering experience so the end results are sometimes ugly. They always work though, many times better than the factory coils with pretty covers.<br>

Thanks for the replies. The dealer says the tractor is a 2000 model and just never sold. He said all the hours come from lot use, and I could see that. I think I'm going to pass though. It has been sitting for too long. I see possible problems due to inactivity for so long. I was going to do it when it was a 2003 model, but when he said 2000, well...

I guess the mX5000 is a little longer. The notes state you can use a 7ft cutter. Would you recommend a 7ft with the L5030?

I find that the larger tires do ride a bit better and the loader does lift more but you are still stuck with a 60" deck.

If you can pull the baggie 150' one way you should be able to pull 120' the other. If you can't you may have more than one blockage (or it may be baggie friction preventing it form traveling). This may help identify where the precise location of the blockage is before you do anything drastic like dig things up. Another solution may be to take your 12-2 w/g bend the ends of the actual copper cable back (so it does not behave like a barb when pushed) as you push the wire into the conduit run it through a pan of motor oil. You will be suprised at how much you can push it along. You might be able to disloge the blockage.

How long is your driveway? It might not be a bad idea to look at a smaller finish mower like a Z for near the house depending on how clear you have cut it. Is the woods mature? If so there might be some cleaning needed from time to time and you might want to cover that with your purchase.

I cut some 2x10 and made them into I beams. I had tripled the number of beams so there is only a 4 ft span. The beams are also increased. I know that I am still over build, but at lest I don't have the ducts intruding into the ceiling height.

I went with Heatmore because the floor of the fire box is a grate with sand around the edges with 1 row of fire brick. The ashes fall through the grate and you auger them out the back, auger included. Mine came with a water circulating pump, although my dealer said he buys extra good ones.

In N.C. we are required to have the pier below the frost line in case of heaving. Also have to have 1 inch rigid insulation 2' around the perimeter with a 6 mil vapor barrier. New trated lumber must use galvanized bolts and fasteners only. Also required to have Y bracing on posts
1/3 the length of post down from top on both sides. If you have a transit shoot the tops of the piers and you want have to notch or cut posts from a ladder.
