A lot tractor can be sold as new (generaly) with less than 20 hours this means it may have been used as a demonstrator or as a loaner while the owners tractor was being repaired! Doubtful that a dealer would put 9 hours on a tractor unless he used it at home!

I do question the 5 year warranty, to the best of my knowledge Kubota doesn't offer that option but a secondary may add to Kubotas Original warranty!!

I would go to another Kubota Dealer and price the same/like unit and that will answer your question as to price! ....

Ask very direct questions about the hours and the warrantee. Where did the hours come from? Has this unit ever been used as a demo? As a loaner? Has anyone in your shop taken it home? Has a customer ever taken it home? etc. Ask for a copy of the warrantee. Is it from Kubota? If the guy studders or stumbles, walk away. If he has immediate and complete explanations that don't point towards any funny business you might still consider it but the hours could be used as a bargaining chip. ....

Thanks for the replies. The dealer says the tractor is a 2000 model and just never sold. He said all the hours come from lot use, and I could see that. I think I'm going to pass though. It has been sitting for too long. I see possible problems due to inactivity for so long. I was going to do it when it was a 2003 model, but when he said 2000, well... ....

With that few hours in 5 years the tractor needed to be stored, properly here as we have high humidity. If you are in the dry areas of Texas maybe not. ....

I'd agree with Art - it sounds too good. Kubota is now 2 generations past the L4310. Also, the going price in NH/ME for a used L4310 with low hours would probably be in the $17-19k range. ....
